Sorry; note that in my initial response I mentioned they âdid absolutely nothing for God.â They are not recorded as doing anything beyond birth of notoriety. It was Samuelâs children who were Rebellious and followed an evil path.
Think about it from this perspective: two great men in the Bible; Moses, and Samuel⌠what do they have in common? Other than doing mighty things for God, they are known for having children who did absolutely nothing for God. (Samuelâs children actually followed the path of Eliâs children and did evil⌠Which is why the children of Israel rejected them from leadership.) How could two men so well used by God have horrible children? Because their children stood on the shoulders of giants⌠Never learning to have a relationship with God themselves. They relied on their daddyâs religion, and did not cultivate that closeness with God. The problem with children today is the exact same. We the parents arenât teaching them to have a relationship with God. We expect them to see our relationship, and do it themselves. The blame is ours. We need to train our children.
As an aside: Repentance to salvation is not necessarily repentance from Sin⌠(I mean, unbelief IS sin, but continue reading.) You can repent from your Sin like Judas to good works, (take this money back) you can even repent from your sin to tears like Esau... Biblical repentance, as illustrated in Hebrews chapter 6 as one of the âfirst principles of the doctrine of Christ...â is that of repentance from dead worms. Admitting that God is right, you are not. Faith is in him and his finished work, Hebrews 6:1 âTherefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God...â The key is not simply what you are repenting from... it is what you are repenting to. If it is not to Christ, it is a false salvation. Just saying
Romans 14:5-6 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Most of this problem reflects back to poor parenting. Kids are growing up in homes and being taught by word and deed that rebellion is the way to happiness. Parents rebel against lawful legal authority: How many refuse to wear a seatbelt, or keep the speed limit? Cheat on their taxes? Lie constantly? (calling in sick for work when they want to go fishing...) This list can go on and on forever, and itâs all the things that parents are teaching their children and then sit back and wonder why Little Junior goes and becomes a smoker or a drug addict or a drunkard⌠Just saying
On a side note, I took my family to see the ARK a couple years ago. They were things I liked about it, and things I absolutely did not really like about it, but overall it was a fun experience⌠If a little overpriced
These stories crack me up sometimes. The fact is, it doesnât matter if âChristianâsâ views had changed or not. The Bible still says In Proverbs 20:1 âWine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.â
I taught Sociology/Criminal Justice at a secular community College for nine years; my last few years I started seeing a multitude of homosexual studentsâand honestly, I could deal with them. But then I was approached by an openly effeminate student name Daniel who informed me that âI am going through âthe change,â and would preferred to be called by my new name Isabellaâand would for for for you to use feminine pronouns when referring to me.â I very graciously thanked it for itâs proposal, and never had another problem in class... Because I never referred to it again. I never called on it, and never spoke to it. So, in short⌠I never used a feminine pronoun to describe it, and never worried about my job. Just saying.
I love how the far left continues to demonize someone as guilty that has only been accused... not proven guilty, not even going to trialâ but accused by people that have no credible evidence that the incidents took place. These unjust liberals continue to rail against him as being a horrible person because someone came out of the woodwork and said âlook this happened to me a really long time ago.â I think anyone who is ever suffered a false accusation truly understands the deep hurt that Kavanaugh and his family has went throughâ and those Who automatically believe these accusers that have testimonies that donât always agree might consider a very famous trial that took place with accusers whose testimony did not agree⌠And that was Christâs ⌠Ask yourself, who are you more like right now?
Well, are you still work with a woman who told me that, (in a former life) she lived in Egypt they used hover craft to move the large blocks in the place. Since I had A first-hand witness of how this was done, none of these studies have ever interested me. As an aside she also told me what life was like on Atlantis before it sank.... but if I remember right she was a man when she lived in Atlantis.
