This is what is wrong with our understanding of Islam. It's not al Qaeda that has the warped view, it's us. The radicals are simply the ones actually following their religion. The captain who was removed should get a medal for his intestinal fortitude.
You made some good observations Jim. They rely aren't comparing apples to apples. To compare the west to much of the rest of the world with all the varying standards of crime just doesn't work.
Never mind Priscilla I misread your post. I said it and I stand by it. The fact is that Islam is satanic and evil and the only thing that can set them free is the gospel of Christ. Yet the only thing they do when you bring them the good news is cut your head off on al jazeera. Those same Muslims that you find so kind are the same ones that will say that you must convert, pay the tax, or die if they are ever in control of your country.
Priscilla, Apparently my sarcasm didn't come through in my post. You made the same point I was attempting to make. I spent a year in Afghanistan being shot at by the religion of peace and watching them blow themselves up for "peace". There is no peaceful Islam, only Islam in power and islam as a minority group. As soon as they are in control anywhere they all look and act the same.
It's getting tiring going round and round about this. I think he quoted Spurgeon since he is one of the most notable Baptists. Spurgeon's point was that the Gospel is inseparable from the ideas that we now label "Calvinism". He was right. So call it what you will, but know that we are quoting Scripture that happens to be the source of the doctrines that Calvinism espouses.

I'm not sure it should even be an issue even if the guy was more qualified. A private business should be able to hire whoever they want. If I want everyone who works in MY company to come to a bible study then I as long as that's part of the deal from the beginning that should be ok.
I don't Know why they make a big deal about all this considering there is absolutely no way to verify the remains.

Good article, but I would also like to add that in addition to getting a bad education, public school students are having their faith undermined for at least 40 hours a week by godless teachers, godless kids, and a godless cirriculum. It's no wonder that we are losing 80 percent of kids from our churches as soon as they are old enough to decide for themselves. We can't continue to fail our children by giving up our God given responsibility to make disciples of them. We simply can't delegate the raising of our children to a godless system.
