The documentary is disturbing and highlights the nature of Islam and the collusion from both the republicans and democrats to further their cause. This administration is the worst yet, though bush and Clinton surely advanced their cause as well.
Hey DP, I agree to an extent. There is a balance that has to be struck between common sense and total lock down. Yes they use women an children. No they aren't all non white. But the vast majority are Arab/ middle eastern, and not anything like what we saw in this case.
As bad as this is, it is just the natural politically correct response to the threat that Islam imposes. In Afghanistan, we had to be very cautious of kids, mentally and physically handicapped, and women as well because the Taliban was strapping them with explosives and sending them to our checkpoints and security perimeters.
The problem here is that we are blanket searching everyone instead of using profiling. If our pc government would quit treating Muslims with kid gloves, then it wouldn't be necessary to search our own children.
I think that we, American Christians, have just become too comfortable in our status in this country. We are well on our way to suffering the same fate as Christians in the rest of the world. Unfortunately, like our Israelite forefathers, we have found ourselves in the cycle of sin where we turn to God, He saves is and blesses us, then we steadily become complacent and turn away, and ultimately we suffer the wrath of correction by God to turn us back to Him.
That, reshape, is a matter to discuss with the Sovereign of the universe. It sounds to me like you want to play God by using government to undo the "unequal" advantages that some have. Maybe since every single person in the US is more advantaged than, oh I don't know, the rest of the world, then we should just pack it all up and send it to them so everything will be fair. Or better yet maybe we should just go and switch places with them.
Yes I was commenting to the supply and demand aspect of this situation, but I do think that education standards have slipped as well. The classroom today doesn't look or function anything like it did 30 or 40 years ago. The social agendas are outweighing actual learning.
Jpw I'm pretty sure that both parties are responsible for the housing bubble. Don't mistake my questioning Jim for loyalty to any party. I am a Christian. I don't hold allegiance to any party or even country, should it ever come to that. I just think that to call yourself a Christ follower and align yourself with a party who is pro abortion is a fundamentally flawed position.
Don even under 501c3 churches don't have to rent to anyone. The issue here is that if they do rent for outside use then they are not going to be allowed to discriminate in who and what services they rent out for.
Bray I don't know how "brave" a statement it was, but you only need to go out and apply for jobs to quickly find out that with only the high school diploma you will only be considered for the most menial of jobs. The big push right now is to get a masters degree, because without it you are just another shlub
Neil you are right on the money. Not only have we artificially raised the demand for college, raising tuition in proportion, but we have also deminished the overall value of a college degree. The bachelors is now the equivalent of the high school diploma of 30 years ago.
I'm with mike. It is pure arrogance on our part to think that we even have the ability to destroy the earth. Our part is to preach the gospel. God will take care of the rest. I wonder what the environmental effects of 2 Peter 3:7 are?
Nothing missing by your standard even the Apostles were subtracting by sending out letters with just parts of the Old Testament quoted. There are parts of the world where pages are ripped out and passed around from family to family because they can't get enough complete bibles, are they subtracting from the Word? By your standard every single sermon on this site in written format that has biblical quotes is guilty of subtracting from the word.
