Good point

But look at the money that can be made

The publishers of the Nearly Insprirational Version have made a fortune, now they keep updating the updated version, self feeding.
and, I forgot if people start to question anything, you come up with new manuscripts,(mo money) give them a name, something really cool, like majority text, now who can argue with
that manly logic.

Take care Jhawk 44

R. K. Borill wrote:
Shall you contend with logic and the argument of an Apostle?

Faith is the gift of grace.
Faith is not works, and works are not faith.
Works are a product of faith, just as fruit are found on a tree, but the fruit is not the tree, neither is the tree fruit, otherwise fruit is no more fruit, it is a tree.

Hi R K

I like the tree analogy

Works, people hung up on this word
I find are usually filled with pride.
Its a look what I can do, Im a christian, I can do all things attitude
All the above is not the point of the verses they use to justify doing the
right thing.
The verses show a lifestyle, you will become a new person, you will do Biblical things, your mind set will change from fleshly thoughts, (is this works, I must do whatever, look Im a
christian) to spiritual thoughts, they
obey the Word of God, without any thought of the word, works. I think its alot like the tree, it produces apples
soley because its a apple tree.
to attach apples to a pine tree, will not change the tree, only God can change a tree.

Could that be why, you can tell them by their fruit, is used to describe people

preach it brother

The same quandary confronts Pastor Clauson in Anchorage. “There is nothing inherently alienating about what we’re doing economically,” he said. “An Orthodox Jewish youngster or a conservative Muslim child encountering our programs would find zero intimidation.”

Nor does he want his community to become divided along religious lines, he said. But at the same time, “we definitely want to use these efforts as an open door to the entity that we feel is the author and creator of abundant life — Jesus.”

He added, “It’s a tough balancing act

Im sure
this is where the pact with satan and

"Mr Blair complained that he had been unable to follow the example of US politicians, such as President George W. Bush, in being open about his faith because people in Britain regarded religion with suspicion."
I find it pretty much the same in Canada. I think that a person, depending on the circles they are in, would be more accepted in Canada for smoking marijuana than for being a Christian. Many see Christians as "homophobic", anti-women's rights, anti-freedom of sexuality. Unfortunately the Anglican Church of Canada is changing all that, permitting sexual sins and promoting those who practice such into "ministry".
The Charter of Rights and freedoms gives me freedom of religion, freedom of thought and conscience, freedom of speech. Yet again those in opposition to Christ have the freedom to see me as a "nutter"!
Acts 16:37 But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.”
It is beneficial to know your rights as Paul, concerning the Law of the land.
Amen

If I may add to my reply to Preacher Az
I thought it was a Biblical comment,
Amen
If you would Az, am I correct in saying
That there have been christians,
God loving, God fearing christians on
SA comment section, belittled, called
just about everyname in and out of the book, and left out to dry, alone.
I've seen men like, rick warren, creflo
$dollar, pat robertson, (a mormon,
a pro-abortion,) just about every R cand. running for president endorsed
on this web site.
I also see Wolfs in sheeps clothing,
and christians, knowingly or unknowingly
talk, have fellowship with the wolf,
hoping to convert him/her, is that biblical?
But what I see is christians (they all
relate to that title) use the Word of God against each other to defend
whatever, I don't think thats biblical.
Do you?
And I'll be the first to admit, what I see don't matter at all,
Its what GOD see's, or saw, or knew before the foundation of the earth, you know what I mean?
Someone in the Bible said something
about you will be held accountable
for every idle word, you know what Im
saying?
Someone in the Bible said
you lost your first love
do you think thats evident in most comments?

Thank you
terry

People of God we must speak and say what the Bible say about this great SIN. And we must never stop saying that it’s a SIN and has always been. And always will be in the eyes of God. And those who do this can be SAVED? My answer is yes, if they REPENT and Turn. Let all who do this know that God will judge them for this great evil. Romans 1:18-31 *vs. 24 “God gave them up” vs. 26 “God gave them up” vs. 28 “God gave them OVER” We as the people of God must not stop saying what the bible say about HOMOSEXUALITY and let make this one this very CLEAR that it’s a great SIN.
And the great result is the God has give them up, but they do not have to be lost forever, just Repent and Confess that this is a sin against God. Now if you’re a homosexual reading this I want you to know that God do love and want to save you. Now call on the name of Jeus.
Amen

Its an abomination, pretty bad indeed, but not only did Jesus die on that cross
for me, as bad as that was, I mean other
men, christians, I mean true God loving,
God fearing christians have been crusified, burned alive, beheaded.

But only ONE took Gods wrath for me and
you. (what does you mean, it means YOU)

Repent....Believe...And be baptised

I am not referring to sermon audio's sermons either but to this forum, or have you never noticed the anger and personal insults that have been known to fly around?

We never hear about Matthias,(look into church history and you will find a wealth of info into how the canon was formed) except in Rev..where the 12 Apostles
Scripture tells us they prayed about it.
It was when I asked about this to a Minister once and he actually said to me " 12th apostle should have been Paul"
who is to say or prove that paul was the last "apostle"?

Anna

The way I see it
I agree with you, anger and personnel insults are all to much in use here.
I think its wrong, and a good way to
tell them by thier furits, sometimes a christian makes a mistake, but its all in there pattern, what comes out of a man defiles him.
Same thing, Matthias, Satan was around
when the cannon was formed, be careful
chuch history should not trump, or add
to Gods word, but agree with. The Bible
does not contradict itself, when in Rev.
says 12, its 12.
I, maybe you, pray alot of things, the Bible says to pray about all things,
does that mean instant results?
Did God answer there prayers, yes Paul
Was Paul the last, thats what the Bible says.
Thanks
terry

I'll say it a again: AIDS is not a disease. People don't die of AIDS, they die of TB, pneumonia, cancers, etc. Before it was called AIDS, it was called GRIDS (Gay Related Immune Deficiency Syndrome). AIDS sounds so much better - nicer. AIDS is a political tool to raise money and power. The cure for AIDS is to stop doing the things that compromises the immune system (ie drugs, alchohol and eating urine & feces); and get proper nutritional support for the immune system. It really is that simpe. HIV has absolutely no connection to it. There are thousands of viruses out there that are not identified yet; what makes them say they aren't the causative link? There are many people who have HIV that never contract AIDS. There are many who have AIDS that do not have HIV. It's pretty simple mathematics really.
AIDS does not exist!

cool, just cut and paste as normal afterwards.
Matthew 5: 43-48, I don't understand your point, I hate the disease, the sin not the person, primary means of transmission is sex, no matter where you have it, (location on earth).
In this subject may I suggest, still in Matthew 5.
13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
This is rick warren, the way I see it

14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
A christian cannot hate a person because of lifestyle, nor can a christian condon a unbiblical lifestyle

15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
A christian can't ignore AIDS it kills people, they need the Gospel

16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven
darkness does not exist in the light,

I am stating what the Bible states. Do you believe the Bible? Human reasoning is not spiritual discernment. The Bible teaches sinless perfection. Don't you think we should be striving to be what we are called to be—which is sinless. Righteousness is imputed by faith even as it was with Abraham—but faith yields obedience, which is righteousness.
Abi
cool
not sure that obedience is all there is to righteousness, But praise God, I think I understand you. Yes I have a Bible, and I belive every word of it.
I also belive it can be a little condencending to preach to the choir with Bible verses all the time, I know the verses, what I didn't know was what you explained above.
One of my first comments to you was that I felt you have a love for the Lord,
and at times I don't explain myself
very well, and maybe where your at with your walk with the Lord, is not where I am, Im not perfect, I thought you were saying you are, The Bibles also teaches humility, among other things.
Thanks
