7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17And when they had seen it, they made known abroad

Every now and then, far and few in between the comments on this site one catches both my eye,
and my heart, you did just that.
I've heard all the stuff about the tree, santa, the gifts, I listen to Pastor Mike Slattery at times on sermon audio, he really gets into history, I like what he says most of the time, and if you hear him he has no love for Easter, Christmas, Halloween, all for the most part papel made up holy days.
True as what he may say is, the Bible I don't think matches, somewhat so but not completely, so I go with the Bible.
I think a christian should have only one opinion, Christ like only.
So I give you this, (Cont)

Must wait for another comment, rules, SA is under the law, I guess.

Even so, tyranny is on the rise. But my outlook is positive. It is hard for rich men to enter the kingdom of God, but when your economy dissolves, you are no longer the big man on campus and are a destitute impoverished nation, you might, shall we say, be less attentive to humanists(who have brought about all this destruction by their turning away from God) and more to God.
Hi JHAWK 44
So true, its just a book ,real life is much worst.
Someone in the Bible says watch, and christians have been for over 2000 years
And life may be peachy for another 2000
years. But alot if not most of the comments on this site shows
1. very few christians here or
2. christians are getting tired of watching.
See the important things here are,
What denomination are you,
Who do you follow, calvin, moody,
ERROR, the top one subject, Im right, your wrong, not only you but your Bible

3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Now thats a good book.

terry evans,
You ask "Didn't Canada outlaw guns"?

[/QUOTE

Hi Wayne

Thanks

I read my message after I sent it I didn't mean to unload on you, sorry.

I just see this as a part of the big security reason for the Gov't to take away Honest, Sane, God fearing peoples Guns, and most freedoms in this country in a time where the world is really messed up. Like in Va. one evil person, thats what he was Wayne, evil, shoots all those people, in broad daylight at a school, and at the same time the Gov't says the borders are safe, only we need to wiretap everyones phone, detain anyone they want, have a database of info so they know every move you make, and strip search a little old lady at the airport and let 3 men from Saudi walk on through. My point, I think its Biblical to defend your family in this sick, demented world.

Again sorry, sore subject

That would be an interesting Supreme court case. The "right to bear arms" could be carried to extremes if it meant people with mental illness could carry guns or if it meant anyone could own and carry a howitzer or a machine gun when they go out. How far does one carry this right?
Hopefully the court will bring some sanity to this issue. People also have a right to live in safety without the fear of being shot by someone with a few loose screws as has often happened.
So lets make it illegal to own a gun, no, lets make it illegal to manufacture a gun. The schools kick little children out of school for even drawing a gun.
And by all means lets not even enforce the laws we have now.
Will any of the above keep the gangs or criminals from getting a gun.
Why are there so many school children killed in the classroom, where guns are not allowed.
The killer now a days is the victim, the news , they show how this person needed help, felt alone, or whatever, its the shooters fault. do something to them to deter others. put the blame where it goes, on the shooter, not the gun. And what about knives, other sharp objects, box cutters- outlaw

Didn't Canada outlaw guns, did crime go down? Did murder cases decrease?

10 things” voters should know
The 10 chapters discuss why Hewitt says you should vote for Romney, including: my own thoughts

This isn’t Romney’s first presidential race (his father George also ran in 1968);And has never won, nor his daddy

He is a successful businessman, having made a great impact at Bain Capital;and that is what? resume filler

He helped save the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City; Superman -from what-evil supports the UN also I guess, come on Salt Lake-mormon

He raised a nice family; can't touch this one

He is Pro-Life; His plan is to let each state decide if they want to kill babies

He defends traditional marriage; Biblical, or state. see next item

He was a successful governor in the liberal state of Massachusetts; is this like a plus, dosn't that state have gay marriage

He has advantages over the other Republican candidates; I guess if being a mormon counts

He can defeat the “too perfect” critique; this one is to easy

His Mormonism is not a negative aspect to this presidential candidate ** no God will not hold this against the USA**

Funny, I just finished reading 1984 then see this.
Only the beginning, wait till the next 911, Do you know what they are doing with those closed military bases,(state side, left about all overseas, why?)
They call them commuinity centers, a place to hold the civilian population, not only in case of attack, but things like katrina, did you see the house to house search for guns on the news, yet no one could get water to those people where shepard smith was standing. I think its still unconsitutional to use the military against the people, IE:
preventing drug smuggeling, troops on the border,, nevermind, I think G W changed all that with his pen. The ex. orders he wrote would choke a horse.

Give up FREEDOM for SECURITY
if you do that, how secure will you feel
ask anyone in jail if there glad to be safe.

My challenge, I still have yet to here a resonable answer to the challenge that I posted.
Eternal Security is merely a philosophical extension of divine election, rather than a Scriptural mandate. It can be found indirectly in passages that could be implying something else or by philosophical presumptions but nowhere does it outright state unconditional eternal security anywhere in Scripture. If I am wrong, reprove me.
Hi JP
What are you talking about, maybe thars why no answer.

Eternal Security, not eternal life right, or is that included?

You mean after your saved, Holy Spirit, Jesus statments,ie I will be with you always. Maybe I missed some part of this disscussion, sounds like your looking for a conformation of Gods predestination.? is that it?
Just because you don't like Ron Paul is no reason for people not to help you out.

I have no idea who "spiritual" was or is. This is the first time I've ever commented at this site. I think you guys might be getting a little too conspiratorial minded.
My point in asking the question of the primary importance of the crucifixion is to challenge the seeker-sensitive, social gospel view that man is the center of the universe and God at his every whim or beck and call...
Now... do you follow on that or are you going to revert to tag-team ad hominim ?
Mac Man
Thats cool Mac, I've been here about a month. That maybe about a month to long, learned a few things, one thing, there is what I call a mag. glass next to everyones name, good tool, use it.
Conspiratorial minded, maybe, hope not.
Sorry, welcome to christianity unplugged. You will see it all here, I thought this would be a cool place for a little fellowship, talk about God, about His word. See thats what I needed, Revelation study, it can be depressing. But after comming here, it was like the study came to life.
Going to bed, good night Mac Man, whoever you are.

Hi John
Pretty cold up there, I'll bet.

Matthew 18 verse 11, thats why He came.
You quote Matthew 7 verse 3, how true.
I really like that chapter, verses 7 and 8, do it, it works, verses 15 and 16.
John everyone judges, some won't admit it, I mean, I just did with the weather up where you are.
Thats what by their fruit is, Don't judge a man by his wealth, color of his skin, how smart he is, but by what he says, and/or does, his fruit.
Your ? on the prostitutes, Luke 7 verses 37-50. Notice in verse 43 Simon rightly judged.
And I agree with you, God knows your heart.
Do you need to know Greek and Hebrew to know God, no
Does the Bible say the gay lifestyle is an abomination to God, yes.
Does it tell a person to repent and believe, yes
Hang in there John, its going to get bad, but remember, He will never forsake or desert you, everyone else just might.

Come now, riches doesn't condemn nor make a man, its the mans devotion that condemns or makes him. Matt 19:24 doesn't say that riches are evil but it is the devotion that men have to their riches that is the concern and may ultimately condemn them. It would be better that we do not take on the temptation of riches, for if YOU are asked to give up the riches you may not want to, same as the 'young man in Matt 19:24' and maybe Creflo...
Do not condemn nor judge but if you feel a man is in error should you not pray AND appeal to them?
Your right, its the love of money.
I don't condemn, but judge, you bet, its Biblical to judge.

Error, this man is what a pastor, or is he the rev. He is way past error.

You maybe right, got Creflo's phone number, I'll appeal to him, maybe I can ride in his rolls, maybe he would give me a few bucks, or at least some investment advise.

Very true RK Borill, except Matthew 25 v.31-46 are also spoken by Jesus. Confusing
really, but obvious also that faith without works is dead as James said.
Some try to explain these verses as Jesus not speaking to Christians, but that is stretching it I think. Whoever he is speaking to, those with works are the "righteous" and we cannot ignore it
Hi Anna

Man textbook example, those on right,
christians, can't do any works for salvation, but you can't stop afterwards.
Those on left, the majority of christians (so called) today, its all about me, my needs, my blessings, they would run over a homless person to get the check in the mail to tbn

Hello, I am curious why are people so quick to tell gays that they are going to hell? Did you know that in order to understand the bible you have to research it not just read it?

Hi John,
Good point, when I was a whoremonger I was going there also, and a few people took the time to tell me, but some also took the time to tell me, not only why, but how to change my destination.

Yes John you must research the Bible, but you do that using the Bible.
Your point on the word homosexual may be true, I don't know, but the Bible also talks about a man should not lay with another man, nor a woman lay with a woman. Also talks about sex outside of marriage, my flesh hates that part

Everybody has that sin that they must die to, that cross, they must pick up, daily.

There was a time when my knowlage of God was, all good things come from God, true, but I took that to mean if a woman wanted to go to bed with me, that was a good thing. Boy was I wrong.

As far as hate, you say you don't hate?
Good, the Bible says God hates, God is angry everyday, why you think that is John.

Being a christian, I find it very challenging, but the yoke of Jesus Christ easy. Read your Bible and pray.

Hello Terry Evans and AntiVaticanistAmerican! TOUCHE!
Hello Susan Miller,
I think I may have way to much time on my hands.

Are you married, I miss being married.
I think Ron Paul has been married 50 some years, it can work, if Gods in it.
I like the way you think.

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.(Matt 7)
And you know the really scary part of those verses.
He was not talking to the lost, or those that knew they were unsaved.

He was talking to "christians", or those who say they are, like 85% of the usa.

John says, even so, come.
