Matt 8: 5-13. "For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, `Go!' and he goes, and to another, `Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, `Do this!' and he does it." Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, "Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.

Matt 9:2 SEEING their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, "Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven."

Faith is SEEN in it's works.

The works of faith are listed in the bible. *By faith Abraham left Ur ... *by his faith the centurion came to Christ for help, *by her faith the woman would not be deterred, by *their faith the men brought the paralytic.

*Oh yea of little faith ...

*If you had faith the size of a mustard seed this mountain would be moved into the sea.

Faith is SEEN. So we don't have to talk about faith as if it were a mystical state kept a secret in the heart. The Bible is plain speaking, but if you are going to try to divine it's hidden secrets it will cause you to go blind and you will begin leading the blind who will hang on your every word.

But when the son of man returns will he find faith on earth?

And there arose a dispute amongst some of Johns disciples and the Jews about purification.
And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi" "He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified - behold - He is baptising and all are coming to him!

Johns reply: A man can recieve nothing unless it is given him from heaven.
You yourselves bear ME witness THAT I SAID - "I am NOT the Christ, but I have been sent before Him.

(Johns disciples thought John was the messiah when he himself says: I TOLD you I am not the Christ!)

He who has the bride is the bridegroom.
But the friend of the bridegroom who stands and HEARS Him rejoices greatly because of the bridegrooms voice.

This scripture which you use in the form of a legal document is a narrative. The narrative is telling you that Johns disciples weren't listening to him, because he had already told them he wasn't the Christ. Then he tell's them he is happy to hear the voice of the bridegroom. Seemingly they didn't hear the bridegroom, though they associated with John the Baptist.
Therefore John exclaims - a man can recieve nothing unless it is given him from heaven. Meaning: He, John, had nothing to offer them, since he was from the earth. Jesus, from heaven, had the words of eternal life.

And yet people on this site claim Jesus was made into sin itself - accursed.
Therefore they say, in their heart, I am righteous.

It does not surprise me there is an unholy alliance of vultures gathered on this site spewing scripture like Satan. What surprises me is, given the usage this site gets, the countless valuable sermons downloaded every day by the hungry, that there aren't more people adding their comments here everyday just to drown out your childish voices which are doing MUCH damage to the reputation of your respective denominations. All I can imagine is they are weary of you.
Or else afraid. Either way they allow you to shame the teachers on this site with your constant prattling and heartless renditions of scripture.

How will you know if my confession is true Dopey?

How were people saved in the Old Testament?

By the temple sacrifice or by the blood of Christ? By the recieving of the Holy Spirit or the Word of God?
By their faith or their righteousness?

Faith comes by hearing the word of God and believing - responding.

Many people put their faith in evolution, in mystical doctrines of men and angels, in great men, in their own respective nations.

John UK. Is your imputed righteousness a legal matter or a mystical transaction?

Are you 'made' righteous because of your faith or counted as righteous because of your faith?

"These two lamp stands of Almighty God (Moses and Elijah) will preach salvation in Jesus Messiah, re- institute the temple, its sacrifices and its priesthood." ???

Dopey, the link you posted leads to lies. You need to ask yourself 'why would God want the temple sacrifices and it's priesthood re-instituted'?

Please think about the serious implications of this. What will be sacrificed? Why? Is this not the final insult to what Christ did for both Jew and Gentile - for you and I - to re-institute the temple sacrifices? Jesus' death on a cross made the sacrifice of animals invalid. What are these people you are listening to really saying?? That the death of Jesus on the cross was not enough?
There are many decietful doctrines around.

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition ..

So after the falling away and after the man of sin is revealed .. what happens next?

John UK. I'm asking you a question. The question is: Was sin 'imputed' in a mystical sense 'on' Jesus or was the imputation a legal matter?

Jesus was born sinless. 'As if' he (Jesus) had sinned.

Jesus died sinless or else he would have needed someone else to die for his, imputed or not, sin.

Do you think the word 'imputed' means a mystical transaction? I can impute my sin onto another by accusing them of it and having them tried in a court of law for it. If the person is found guilty then the crime has been paid for. The person serving the jail time is still innocent and I am free.

God did not kill sin on the cross. He allowed an innocent man to die for the sins he didn't commit, in this way the law was satisfied. In this way my sin was imputed, I am still guilty, Jesus is still innocent.

(2) 2Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

So you claim God 'made' sin and infused a sinless man with sin by a mystical process - since he didn't commit sin himself - so that the law could be satisfied and we could live?

But the wages of sin is death and Jesus had to be a spotless lamb.
God has never sinned, and does not cause other men to sin.

If Jesus did not remain sinless then the sacrifice was an insult to God.

Vatican says Church hurt by scandal.
Obviously, this article is about what is hurting Catholic people today.
What is hurting Protestant people today is also uncovered by other news items on this site.
Let us therefore also pray: That the breath of God will slay all hypocrites who promote themselves by using the word of God - so the Glory goes to God alone. Amen?

The problem is the prescibed Missal readings are given second place in the Mass, as you surely must know. The Mass is designed to give full attention to the sacrifice at the altar and the man standing at the altar.
Outside of Mass, Scripture can not be trivialised, or quieted so the men can get on with the real business of the Mass. That of giving glory to themselves instead of the Word of God. Excuse me for saying 'alluding' instead of 'eluding' in my previous post.

My plea to you is, to engage with Catholic people at this time, however and where ever the opportunity arises, as their faith in The Church is being crushed by continuous scandal and embarrassment - this is a time that presents itself for true believers in the word of God to engage with people who have been decieved. Perhaps some will see. Don't believe the bravado, the seemingly 'blind' faith of the Catholic lay-person. Of course they are shaken to the core - and embarrassed. Wouldn't you be????
Don't ram scripture down their throats, INTRODUCE them to it, like a mother introduces solids to an infant.
Thank God!!!! I am so happy to be seeing these things. Aren't you???
Oh Lord, Keep it up! Don't give them a moments peace! Let them toss and turn on their beds, let sleep allude them. Amen.
