Maybe, just maybe, Al-CIAda never existed as a threat. It was a bugbear--useful boogeyman-- all along.

This is typical when so-called party 'changes' occur. One fights in the cloke of aggressive fascism (the re-pubic-heads) and when that has run its course, the other strongly proposes socialism in all its gentle glory (the dump-oh-craps).

Strange how both Huxley AND ORWELL were right. We seem to have both kinds of apocalyptic scenarios occuring in the U.S. of A (the Undiscerning Sheep of Armageddon) at the same time. No wonder many (but not all) people are confused.

At such events (some not all), you have vendors of the sort:

Tattoos for Jesus;
Body Piercing for Jesus; and of course,
SK8 Rock for Jesus.

- - -
When I lived in Hawaii, there was a group that met on Sundays called Surfers for Jesus. I don't doubt there are dozens of "groups" for Jesus.
- - -

I'm thinking about starting my own group. I'll call it:

KJVO-AMIL-Calvinists-Young Earth Creationists for Jesus! ! !

Hey wait a minute...isn't this just called the CHURCH?

I don't doubt there will come a time shortly when an article will be written:

Mourning the Death of Conversation.

The above will follow what already has happened:

Mourning the death of CRITICAL THINKING.

Not long ago it was:

Mourning the death of READING.

from article:

"The book, called Everybody Welcome, claims that only one in ten church visitors return because existing worshippers tend to be so unwelcoming."
- - -

Hey newcomer-customer, what did you expect? The "regulars" just like at a friendly neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other, they are just playing it cool. Within large social groups exists cliques.
- - -

"It urges churches to become more professional in their attitude to attracting newcomers and suggests they follow the example of department stores in appointing customer-care managers."
- - -

This is easy to solve. HIRE older retirees to stand at the door as greeters just like at Walmart. Maybe have a clown or a jester to give out coupons (oops, I mean, the program). Afterall, what the customers want is probably a comfortable place to meet at a value price.

I thought we settled this LONG ago and yet they keep writing books.

Mr. Dispy wrote:
Still waiting for you covenanters to call for him to be stoned publicly. Or at least put in stocks out in the square.
Why? It is more dangerous for a man to fall into the 'hands' of God than it is with other men. Amils call for repentance for all men.

Ignorant, murderous darbyists will, I notice, rarely relent their position because I think:

a) they would rather save face than admit they are seriously wrong, or

b) they spent soooooo much money on false end-times propaganda (Left Behind, Scofield reference Bible, and the like) and they don't want to feel like fools. Kind of like someone falling for a Ponzi/ pyramid/ MLM SCAM.

c) they love death.

- - -

For the rest of you with a conscious and a conscience, consider looking at your views very carefully. No more pastor to tell you what truth is, no more commentaries. Ask yourself: Does God want me to side with killers and murderers?

I pity you and fear for you if you don't know the answer to this!

from article: "...God will change him so he can emerge from the scandal a more humble and effective leader."

Hey...He's taking a play from the Evangelical playbook. He should've committed more than adultery and then he would be an even MORE 'effective leader.

- - -

"...in many ways I feel like I was at my own [funeral] in the past weeks..."

WOW! He's equating the consequence of 'stolen waters' with a funeral. Interesting. I wonder what he would equate murder with? You know, like Dispy's who want nuclear war.

I wonder.

When you pray to God, when you express your Love to our Creator, when in darkness you Confess your manifold transgressions against his Word, when you express unspeakable Thanksgiving for the Mercy that is given through Christ, when you think of your Prayers rising to Heaven, Do you really think most of the other Saints there worshipped God in 'error' Churches and just you and a handful of other worthy Christians worshipped our Lord in an worthy manner?
When a child of God recognizes the voice of God and he hears, "come thee out," would not the child of God leave the false church?

When a child of God is amongst what appears to be sincere christians but has an unexplainable stirring within, should not he heed the stirrings of God and "test" the spirits to see if they are "of God?"

When a child of God desperately seeks his Father's love but is NOT 'sensing' it in the so-called church, should not he go directly to his prayer closet and cry to God, "Father, in Jesus name, who are Thou that I seek? Who are Thou that is drawing me AWAY from this false preaching? Lord, help me discern Thee!"

The question that seems to not go answered:

Does a "Certification of Live Birth" have the same value as a "CERTIFICATE of Live Birth"?

The Certification form looks like a notarized DMV printout. An actual birth certificate lists all vital information.

What is the secret?

Healing the sick refers to SIN.

HOPE refers to final redemption as an ACT.

Liberty from an "addiction" is the result from redemption.

I stand by my comment.
- - -

Now go the other way--can a person be healed physically, have hope that others be healed, and be delivered from an "addiction" WITHOUT being redeemed?

I SAY, CATEGORICALLY, YES YES YES.

Otherwise, Benny Hinn is a true healer, Barry "no birth certificate" Soetero is our hope, and x-trian psychotherapy works.

I DISAGREE STRONGLY!

Very comforting post, Max.

Let's see what someone else has to say about it who is, ohhh, about 230 miles away from you.

SA posted an article about the 10 largest mega-churches in the US a while ago.

Question: Are these churches Arminian or Calvinistic? I say the former (and it is obvious to me why).

Biblical Christianity is NOT A MASS MOVEMENT. Never was, never will be. Maybe some of you older ones should re-read Eric Hoffer's, The True Believer to gain insight into the mind of the lonely, bored, disillusioned man willing to commit to a large cause for selfish reasons.

Christianity is NOT A CAUSE. It is NOT a means to HEAL, to promise HOPE, or to help someone Un-ADDICT himself. IT IS REDEMPTION!

Or their Arminian theology,...
Here we go again...another 100+ posts.

Look. Calvinism is NOT a religion. The DOCTRINES OF GRACE were in RESPONSE to the followers of Arminius. And a good thing too.

It is NOT contradictory that God elects some and damns others. As a fallible human being, I have NO CLUE who God saves and who He predestined for damnation. That is NONE OF MY BUSINESS!

I can't market Calvinism nor Amillenialism nor KJVO-ism. Truth is given FREELYto those who seek it and those who try to charge people with "tithing" for instance are NOT TRUE CHRISTIANS!

It took me over 5 years to come to grips with God's TRUTH--all before I had internet.

It is not easy! If it were (like making a "decision for Christ") would God be WORTHY of worship? Would the death and resurrection be necessary?

Why didn't God (Jesus) start AGAIN after Adam and Eve's fall?

Climate change equals weather.

Does not this governmental organization masquerading as a church know that global temperature is going down?

- - -

If I am wrong, I apologize, miss gaia, for eating 39 cent tacos at Taco Bell. The "gas" I produce is a shameful byproduct of my indulgence to cheap, fast-food-like substance. No more milk shakes with growth hormones. No more fried eggs with spam. (Shame on Dr. Seuss for encouraging green eggs and ham! These Satanist preachers should help BAN BOOKS by Dr. Seuss).

I'm a scared little child in need of spiritual fathers! Help me, O-BE-ONE, help me defeat and strike down those evil weather-changing mongers called PEOPLE!

If one were to replace Catholicism with:

Wouldn't the statement STILL be correct, valid, and TRUE?

If the above is correct and irrefutable, then what is your point?

I think almost all churches fall into this category. When you forget your Bible, everything go down the drain.
That includes: Arminian, Calvinism, Dispy's, Amil's, Preterists, Post-mils, KJVO's, non-KJVO's, for government, against government, etc.

God put NO MAN in charge of any congregation. If any man says, "submit to me," turn away. He is a false prophet!

There is NO SUCH THING as a:

Church leader nor a Senior Pastor.

Study your history of church administration and you will see that these so-called titles were placed as a convention--not as prophetic destination.

Most churches operate like a pseudo-CULT! That's right, I said it, and I'll say it AGAIN...most churches are pseudo-cults!

If any man says, tithe or have God curse your 90%, tell him (or her): "Unless you are in prison for your testimony, I WILL NOT GIVE MY MONEY TO YOU...YOU ARE NOT ABOVE ME, NOR MY FAMILY, NOR GOD'S WORD. You lying SCUM!"

They should just rename the SBC to RPC--

The Roman Protestant Church.

As long as there is hierarchy, there is no church.

This is ONLY A SATIRICAL RUMOR.

But, upon hearing about this, members of a liberal AOG church down the road will have a "bring a jewish abortion doctor to church day" to counter Pagano.

These doctors will stand outside to protest.

Las Vegas odds makers are completely baffled. They do NOT know which side will win.

Government submitting Romans 13 DARBYIST, or actual JEWS who have special DNA.

This is incredible! It would take the death of, two pop icons to determine this. One a beauty in a bathing suit and another who liked boys in them...HOLD ON, WHAT? YOU'RE KIDDING!

Back to you...

Quick! Someone tell Hal Lindsey and all of the other ignorant Dispy's to write their manuscript so they can get it published. Simply change the enemy of Israel from Islam to (oh let's make it fun, shall we?) to the North MOONIES. It's easy. They did it before when they changed Russian communism to Islam.

Murphy's Armageddon Observation: "Those who don't learn from the past are condemned to wrie end-times books. Corollary: God doesn't read prophecy books." (from Steve Dennie's, Murphy Goes to Church)

The article's title would be more accurate if it said: We Have a TRUTH Problem.

I am not nor have I ever been part of the SBC but if I were, I would be FED-UP with these arrogant men who call themselves "leaders." Jesus is supposed to be their example to follow but NOOOOOOO. They played GI-JOE with deluded BUSH/Cheney/Rice/Powell/and RUMSFELD.

Isaiah 9

13 For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
15 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
