So let's have "health care" so it makes it easier for people to live in sin

So let's find a creative way to reduce the number of legalized child murders and avoid having to do the hard God-fearing work we need to do in His sight to end the unthinkable abominable national sin supported by far to many democrats and republicans and tolerated by wishy washy "Christians".

IMHO the last part of your comment strikes home to so many things that are WRONG and OUTRIGHT EVIL in our Country and in our Churches - people are listening to all sorts of "Swamp Rats" and not to the Truth

My comment:
The imperfect Judge Roy Moore has IMHO taken a courageous, costly, and much maligned and despised public stand for the Truth & Reality of God's existence, sovereignty, justice and righteousness, those gullible to worldly disinformation fail to appreciate.

As a Judge in Alabama, his stand/conviction was that he had to right to acknowledge God publicly by displaying the 10 Commandments of God our Sovereign Creator - The legal maneuverings brought against him avoided this (that issue) like the plague.

In a time when freedom of speech and liberty of conscience are under assault by an increasingly godless and totalitarian state; Satan and those he has influenced in Washington and even to the pulpits and pews of sophisticated churches despise men, imperfect men, of such commitment to Biblical Truth

Victims?
Have we lost our minds?
Are our hearts that twisted?
That we call the mothers who murder their own babies the victims?
And conveniently forget the fathers too?

Yes! IMHO we are either guilty of all of it and/or so polluted with Pro-Choice and Gospel-less Ecumenical Pro-Life Posturing we Break the heart of God with the false witness that denies Abortion is Murder, is silent on the proclaiming the Gospel before and after to them and all involved in this evil, and the Parents are horrifically guilty of killing a life He Himself has given.

We desperately need to think and act Biblically! We need to earnestly contend for the FAITH once delivered to the saints and let the chips fall where they may, even if this means getting outside of our comfortable Sunday Morning meetings and going into the dark and difficult places with the Gospel of Christ, it is of course the only thing that will save sinners. Please don't ever forget that.

Let me highly recommend:
Overcoming Pro-Choice Arguments
by Pastor Jeff Durbin
because in this he also touches on where Pro-Life advocates have been lacking in Biblical Reasoning

1 Thus says the Lord:
“Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
2 For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the Lord.
“But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.

3 “He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man;
He who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog's neck;
He who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine's blood;
He who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol.
Just as they have chosen their own ways,
And their soul delights in their abominations,
4 So will I choose their delusions,
And bring their fears on them;
Because, when I called, no one answered,
When I spoke they did not hear;
But they did evil before My eyes,
And chose that in which I do not delight.”
Isaiah 66:1-4

One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Proverbs 28:9

Sometimes Satan seems to be winning too much!!
Dear Adriel
IMHO there is something we so need to remember in the time we are living

Jesus told us that if SALT has Lost its Savor it is good for nothing anymore than to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men

Question: What is the state of our modern churches? Are we so living for Jesus that His Presence among us puts the Fear of God into those who would seek to harm us?

Or are we so pathetic defiled and cowardly in our 'faith' we beg the scorn and open hostility of people who hate Jesus Christ ... so much so evil people have boldness to attack anyone who dares speak up because such people often aren't welcome in our sophisticated intellectual socially acceptable and spiritually dead churches?

Think I'm crazy? Trying going with someone who preaches the Gospel outside and abortion clinic and see the number of people claiming to be Christians, maybe even in ministry who don't want you to do that because it might offend somebody

I listened from the 3 minute mark until the 15 minute mark, but my volume was terrible and I couldn't understand most of it.
To the best of my knowledge, I have never used the word reformed on this forum, so your comment is confusing?
Frank, Ouch! Sorry!
I apologize for not being clear

Maybe this will help
When I post to someone by name, in this case you, other people also read the post so please don't take my posts as any kind of attack or accusation but more along the line of speaking to you 'generically'

The issue with this chaplain is an involved one. You'd be right to say if he went into chaplaincy with eyes open ... that is one thing. If the military changed the rules on him that is another

BUT I will say this I appreciate the courage of Darrell Waltrip to say knowing what he was going to say and then saying what he did in front of the then President Obama and his wife.

Whew! IMHO this issue needs deeper study and refining.

I am choosing my words carefully so here goes:

The first 4 of the 10 Commandments has to do with an individual's relationship with God.
It is NOT in our jurisdiction to sit in judgment over another's conscience that is between them and God
So, we tolerate the religion of others (by the way not any genuine crimes they might commit like murder, theft, rape - God gives us jurisdiction in those matters to protect and defend the innocent and deal appropriately with wrong doers)
AND PREACH the Truth to them of God and of Christ, praying for them, pleading & reasoning with them to Repent and Believe

And while we are to tolerate their worship meetings, clothing, music etc. (again unless criminal - like child & human sacrifice) We must NOT endorse it as valid and certainly not promote it

AND by the Grace of God just maybe let such issues bring us to some real soul searching of our own lives, are we worshiping in Spirit and in Truth? Are we glorifying God with our lives showing Jesus Christ as immeasurably desirable to be ones Lord, Master, Savior the preeminent Love of ones live and being? Powerful motivation to know He is worthy of dying for if the testing of our faith requires it.

Dear C S
If I might ask you a question to consider:
By the way before I ask it your humorous post is creative

BUT is it appropriate? Does it contribute to the Obedience of Faith? Intercessory Prayer! Seeking AND FINDING of God for what His will is for us in this and these kinds of things? Does it contribute to being strong in the Lord and the Power of His might, to the putting on of the full complete armor of God and standing in the face of men and devils, earnestly contending for the faith once delivered to the saints and being victorious in the battle?

"... And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence, while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” ..."
Acts 4:13-31

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men ...
2 Cor 5:11

One of the greatest battles we face in the all too real and intensifying spiritual war we are in right now is the one over the Righteousness of God's wrath, the Eternal Righteous Justified Punishment of Sin in Hell/the Lake of Fire.

Men who judge God and so wrongly judge God imagine to their own damnation God is far to harsh in His anger over our sins and blind themselves to the Beauty of His forgiveness in the Cross, in the Blood Jesus willingly shed for us, guilty Hell deserving ones like us.

O May God grant us by the Power of the Holy Spirit we who are forgiven so imaginably much love Jesus preeminently with all we are, have and ever hope to be AND unashamedly preach Him to the lost like starving beggars who have found bread might to other starving beggars who are dying of starvation.

Well, Walter, you answered my question. You have never led anyone to Christ, and with your belligerent attitude, you probably never will. Stop defending yourself, and start earnestly contending for the faith--and learn to contend for it without being contentious! Your zeal is admirable, but sometimes it gives the appearance of zeal without knowledge.
Dr. Tim
Since I am in the story telling mood for the moment you might like this one:

Awhile back my daughter who was living in Georgia attended a church in Chattanooga that wasn't my cup of tea

BUT I had to appreciate the attitude of its young pastor ... just before Christmas one year he broke down while he as preaching and began to weep for the lost people in Chattanooga and call the church, everyone willing and able to come nightly every evening before Christmas to pray for the lost

AND they had one wall in the church where they wrote the names of people whose salvation they were praying for. We might indeed be all sorts of messed up on so many thing ... music TOO LOUD, tattoos, drinking of wine, Kilts (threw that in for humor) BUT genuinely caring for people to be genuinely saved, to know God in the new birth isn't one of them

Ephesians 2 places the glory at Christ's feet, not ours. We are HIS workmanship, molded by his holy hands, and were predestined before the foundations of the world. So maybe "Hitlery" as some have called her, may be in the fold, awaiting her own acknowledged redemption. Soft pedaling as to not offend the sensabilities of other Christians while steamrolling the unsaved is my contention here. Judgment starts, not ends, with the church. We should remember this truth.
And Jesus did tell us:
Matthew 23:1-4
1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples,
2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.
3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.
4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

and Jesus continues .....

back to 'the story' IMHO it is highly likely if believers are brought to task by any accurate Rebukes and Reproves this young preacher would make

They would get right with God and probably in their renewed obedience to the word of God would sadly still not find real fellowship with him

Another,
Show me in scripture where I have strayed from truth in my statements. Why does the scripture use imagery such as "sword" "armor of God" . Should the Psalmist of Psalm 10 tone down " break the arm of the enemy" or Christ simmer down with money changers or with his disciples repeatedly. I think the problem is with my non-effeminate way of discourse.
Walter, let me do better than that ... let me tell you a story:

There is locally a zealous, in a figure of speech: everybody but me is wrong, young in the faith, immature, chip on his shoulder preacher who IMHO had gotten off track blaming everything (sins) on demons.

You know he was sort of right: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

But missed "Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ’s, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ’s, even so we are Christ’s."

He just couldn't seem to get it that others have the God given right to serve Jesus in and what He has called them to and not what he imagined they

Now, unless you want to discuss "some point" I made in this post, please don't respond, because I can assure you I won't.

Excellent Reminder!

The Seeker Sensitive Church Growth Movement is infamous in its promotion of 'small groups' to employ the ungodly Hegelian dialectic http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/04/3-purpose.htm

Dear Carl
Your comment strikes a cord with me, and IMHO ought to with everyone who is born again of the HOLY Spirit

Eric Ludy, in his imperfect but very good read "The Bravehearted Gospel" brings the case that the manly stuff of Christianity has been castrated out of modern day churches and we need to repent and recover the faith that 'turns the world upside down' and in my words here, gives Jesus Christ the honor, the glory, love, trust, obedience, the immeasurable worth He is so rightfully deserving of.

Hint: This kind of faith will be a mighty praying faith, asking God for the things worthy of His man ... absolutely impossible for men to accomplish

And this kind of courageous unashamed Truth-loving Bible-loving faith will be a Gospel Preaching Faith that makes one a friend of sinners and refuses to let them go into the eternal hell unloved, unprayed for, and untold of the Only Name given under heaven among men whereby we must be saved.

Lord, increase our faith
