Encouraging New Year's Eve Message A good, wide-ranging message from Dr. Tozer, which despite the 1960 date was by Tozer's internal references preached on Sunday, December 31, 1961 looking ahead to 1962. Still timely and relevant after almost 50 years.
Power of the Holy Spirit. A message on 2 Kings 3:14-20. The Church of Christ lack the power of the Holy Spirit. The preachers mentions the revival on the Isle of Lewis in this sermon.
Inspiring Sermon I am challenged by this sermon to avoid the dangers mentioned by the preacher. I am made to reflect on my many years of ministry, especially on whether or not i take over the ministry or allow God to be first in command
Wonderfuly Convicting ! We are going on a second generation of those who have never even heard of things like this, much less that have experienced that wonderful power of God that brings the spirit of prayer and holiness.
Lord, raise up those who will learn from these revivals, and cry out to God for it again.
Great Sermon! According to the Greek translation of the New Testament, I Cor 14: 34 & 35, the word "woman is translated "wife/wives". In searching out bible history, the women at that time were on one side of the congregation and the men on the opposite side. The trouble was that the wives would attempt to speak to their husband across from them and of course, this caused confusion and disruption. Paul was admonishing the women/wives, that if they had any questions to ask of their husbands, there were to ask at them home. In using women, God has no respect of persons. It was a woman Jesus gave the first message of his resurrection(Mary Magdalene) to "Go tell my disciples...God will use any yielded vessel. "There is neither Jew, nor Greek there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male or FEMALE; for ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus". Galations 3:28~
Great Sermon! What a Saviour!
So grateful for a wonderful Gospel.
So grateful for what Cowper had to go through to be able to write the hymn and idendify with that thief.
Very grateful to God for Miles and Miles' faithfulness in delivering this much needed message.
Great Sermon! I agree with "Servant" and the scripture he has given. Here is another line upon his line. 1 COR 14 [33] For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
[34] Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
[35] And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
[36] What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
[37] If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
[38] But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
[39] Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
[40] Let all things be done decently and in order.
Great Sermon! Love this man's wisdom! I loved the wisdom that came out of this question and answer session with old Wiersbe!
I wish everyone could hear his answer to the question about his "favorite puritan preachers!" LOL
Finally someone speaking plain about those guys instead of worshipping their work! Amen, Warren.
Great Sermon! THIS SERMON HELPED ME A LOT. WE HAVE EXAMINED OURSELVES MORE OFTEN ABOUT WHAT KIND OF FAITH WE HAVE!! GOD SPOKE ME VERY CLOSELY WITH THIS SERMON!!
