As long as the Anglicans insist on ordaining women, annointing female bishops and permitting active homosexuals into their clergy there can be no chance that the liberal wing of Anglicanism will be welcomed by Rome. Now, the conservative wing....that's a horse of a different color.

Hey Preach...that's a pretty nifty piece of false logic that you have there. You say, "All of my co-religious are perfect, and if they aren't perfect then they aren't my co-religious". It's circular logic and it's wrong. You're right, there is a big difference between the words 'Protestant' and 'Baptist', the biggest difference is how they are spelled. The Baptist church started in the early 17th Century by a man named Smith. The way that I know that Baptists are Protestant is that they are similar in their major points of belief to all other Prot Churches of the period. Find for me the written history, that is widely accepted as true, that proves Baptists existed before 1607. We "lics" had it right from the beginning...you prots need to find that out!

Preacherjond: So far I haven't killed a soul and don't plan to. How bout you, spoiling for a fight are we? If you want to be a Prot, you have my blessing...knock yourself out. Please allow me and other Catholics to exercise our American right to practice our religion in peace...unless of course, you're tired of peace?

MyRsp: No...more like when Prot England let Catholic Ireland starve, stole their land, and kept them in proverty...or kinda like when England persecuted Catholics for over 200 years with death and prison...or maybe like American 'Know-Nothings' (sounds right up your alley Preacher!) who burned Catholic Churches, convents and beat up Catholic clergy...then there was the Klan of the 1920's that hated Catholics. Are any of the folks your kin?

And by the same token, what is right with the one is often right with the other. They are nearly identical sister Churches, it is only fitting that God should begin to join his people together by joining these two sister Churches. T'is a pity there aren't any other Churches to match them in their longevity and faithfulness to Christ's Gospel. Of course there will be protesters against the Pope where ever he goes, wheren't there also Pharisees and demonic spirits where ever Christ taught? When the Anti-Christ comes, Christians will be arrested on all manner of false pretexts. So Jim, you will do your infernal master proud by planning ahead. What is the majority of Protestantism today, but an increasing empty symbol signifying nothing?

This is America, we have the right to worship God as we each see fit. Please grant Catholics the dignity of conducting a peaceful service without harassment....just as you would wish for your own services. Remember...."Do unto others"? Don't start something that could turn very ugly.

1-The Greek word that Christ uses for 'eat' literally means to gnaw or chew.

2-When the disciples started to leave because his teaching was "too hard"...did he say, "Wait guys, I was only speaking in a spiritual vein?"

3-When Jesus said "I am the door" or "I am the vine" did he also say "for my mouth is a key-hole/root and my nose is a door-knob/twig?". But he did say, "for my body is real food and my blood is real drink".

4-God directed St Peter to "slay and eat" the unclean things...how much different to command that we eat his body?

5-If God can create the universe from nothng, then he can command bread and wine to assume any form that he wishes. Please don't tell me that a lowly Catholic has more faith than you do!

EA: If Foxe's Book of Martyrs verifies the blood of the Saints, then where are the stories of Edmund Campion, Bishop John Fisher, Thomas Moore, and the Catholics that the English Govt starved to death during the "Great Famine". I suppose it was termed "Great" by those English Prots who took over the land of the victims.
