Covid-19 can do other nasty things then just kill you❗👎☣️

While there have long been reports of COVID-19 long-haulers,

the WHO worked to raise awareness of the problem today. It’s still unclear what proportion of infected people go on to have mid- to long-term health problems, Tedros noted. But, it's clear that "this is not just a virus that kills people." And with more than 45 million cases globally—and counting—even a small percentage will mean a large number of people will have long-term disability.

It's also clear that long-term symptoms and complications strike a wide range of COVID-19 patients. Long-term effects have shown up in people with mild disease as well as severe disease. Young adults, the elderly, women, men, even children have reported struggling with the disease for extended periods of time....

Contact tracing, a cornerstone of the public health arsenal to tamp down the coronavirus across the world, has largely failed in the United States; the virus’s pervasiveness and major lags in testing have rendered the system almost pointless. Dr Fauci may not be advocating a national shutdown, but he certainly advocating more should be done❗

A better known conservative than either of us, Timothy, plans to vote for Biden
Lee Moran wrote:
George Will plans to break the habit of a lifetime for the 2020 election.

The longtime conservative commentator said Monday he’ll cast his vote for presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden in order to help defeat President Donald Trump at the ballot box.

It will likely be the first time that he has ever voted for a Democrat, Will told USA Today’s Susan Page during a conversation for The Aspen Institute.

“I’m a big believer in parties, in party strength and party tickets. Not this year,” said Will, who quit the GOP in June 2016 in protest of Trump’s then-imminent nomination as the Republican presidential candidate.

the first article that I mentioned wasn't really that tough on Ivanka, mainly saying that she and her husband are dilettantes in the political arena. it does give an idea of the family environment of the Trumps.

Ms Harper was only 14 years old when she became a Christian, and not allowed to vote yet. But in 1984, she tried to convince her mum to vote for the Republican presidential candidate Ronald Reagan.

"There was no way she was going to do that," Ms Harper said.

"She was part of the civil rights movement, and she understood something I really did not understand then — the religious right actually came to be as a counter movement to the gains of people of colour."
How would Jesus vote?

Ms Harper is voting for Democrats up and down the ticket in the 2020 US election, starting with Biden-Harris.

"I am a black evangelical, and that makes all the difference," she said.

"The way that I vote is not ruled by white men; it's ruled by Jesus, who was a brown, colonised, Indigenous man."....

I'm really amazed by the quality of some of the religious articles on the Australian broadcasting corporation system, this is a good one.

Some non-White evangelicals or White evangelicals for that matter are voting the right way for the wrong reasons but so be it.👍

Guam may be more than 12,000 kilometres away from the White House, but on the eve of the US election, eyes will be trained on this tiny Pacific island.

Key points:

• Guam has predicted the correct US presidential winner eight out of 10 elections
• It is a US territory, and its voters are ineligible to participate in the presidential election
• Guam is also one of the United States' COVID-19 hotspots

Its people will vote in a non-binding straw poll, widely seen as an accurate indicator for who will become the next president of the United States.

It was applied in this sense, because those who pretended to be able to expel demons used the formula of an oath, or adjured them, to compel them to leave the possessed persons. Comp. Mt 12:27. ... Or the unrepentant adulterer ❗👎
Proverbs 6:20-32

20. My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching. 21. Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck. 22. When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you. 23. For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, 24. to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue. 25. Don’t lust after her beauty in your heart, neither let her captivate you with her eyelids. 26. For a prostitute reduces you to a piece of bread. The adulteress hunts for your precious life. 27. Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned? 28. Or can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched? 29. So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife. Whoever touches her will not be unpunished. 30. Men don’t despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry, 31. but if he is found, he shall restore seven times. He shall give all the wealth of his house. 32. He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.

The problem is generation Z isn't taking examples such as Bill Gates and instead looking at self-professed "great business" leaders who really gives Capitalism a bad name.

Yes thanks for reminding us of Reformation Day❗👍 Reformation Sunday is too often ignored.

Well, Mike, I won't be judged for the sin of voting for Trump

The video itself contains the video which isn't overly vicious at all. It makes its point however❗

2 Corinthians 12:20-21

20. For I am afraid that perhaps when I come I may find you to be not what I wish and may be found by you to be not what you wish; that perhaps there will be strife, jealousy, angry tempers, disputes, slanders, gossip, arrogance, disturbances; 21. I am afraid that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may mourn over many of those who have sinned in the past and not repented of the impurity, immorality and sensuality which they have practiced. ---

Louisiana may place more restrictions on abortions, but I doubt that it's going to happen in Colorado. It'll be interesting see the voting results in both states.

Many here keeps forgetting that the majority in the industrialized world anyway, have a more liberal view on abortion than the Romish church has for instance. There is really a lot of turmoil happening in Poland for example.

ABC/wires wrote:

Organisers and the city of Warsaw said some 100,000 people took part, one of the largest protest gatherings in years, following a Constitutional Court ruling on October 22 that outlaws abortions due to foetal defects.

It ended the most common of the few legal grounds left for abortion in Poland and set the country further apart from Europe's mainstream....

Mike, abortion may be rated as a secondary goal of any government. The first goal is to have a functioning democracy, as a gentleman above points out in his article.

So having abortions banned, drinking banned, smoking a various substances banned. Can be described as a secondary goal of government or not even a goal of government at all ❗👎
