• Listeth—moving things in a certain direction. It creates sound because "thou hearest" the sound. • People want to see and feel something before they trust in the Lord; God says trust me and then you may see and feel something. Peace follows salvation but does not necessarily precede it; just the opposite may be the case. People want to trust an experience, but experience rarely precedes salvation
At salvation, one's life changes, but this inward change does not mean that a person experiences complete victory over every sin for the remainder of his life—quite the contrary.
The saved sinner is now indwelled with the Spirit of God—it can become an untapped power resource within; the inside changes affect the outside, but old engrained habits are difficult to consistently overcome.
The LOST man sins because that is what sinners do. The SAVED man sins because forgiven sinners must still choose daily not to allow the world, the flesh, and the Devil to win. Salvation is all about Jesus but so is service. • People today do not understand Christ's words. • MUST
