Paul exhorts the Philippians to be of one mind, of the same love, and of one accord. Let nothing be done in selfishness and empty conceit, but to look out for the interests of others. To do this you must have the same mindset as Christ Jesus who humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death. Therefore Christ was exalted by the Father.

Things opposite to each other that He did in accomplishing our redemption, glorified God. Jesus is worthy of the highest place, worthy of all of our praise and our becoming like Him. Opposite things to what we deserve were purchased by Christ in His enduring His sufferings on our behalf. 2nd - His exaltation is the guarantee of our exaltation.
