Those who came to take Him, then saw a glimpse of His real glory as the God-Man was revealed. Jesus Christ is the great I AM. John wants us to know who was really in charge. Jesus was a captive like no other captive. Because He was bound, we could be forgiven our sins and be released from our sins.
