Wayne of So. Cal.

You wrote "As a White man, I've had to take a long, hard look at 'our people.' We think that we are superior to other races. This goes way back to our European ancestry." Posted 8/11/08 at 1:22 a.m.

Seriously, the part about being superior to other races and going back to European ancestry sounds like text lifted from a Black Liberation Theology book.

White people NEVER say "our people," based on skin color. It is not something we think about - period. I've never said or even thought, "Oh, I'm white, I must be better than others."

Dear KK:
Nothing you have said proves that Obama is a muslim or, is unpatriotic, etc. If Obama was a member of Rev. Wright's church, then he certainly was not a muslim! MLK was clearly not a muslim. And for the record, what Obama was referring to by making the statement concerning MLK and Malcom has to do with their strenght, their tenacity in the face of extreme oppression.
Most of the negative stuff you guys have come up with has come out of bogus books such as the latest one by Jerome Corsi. however, it has already been proven that so far there are at least 87 "serious" factual lies in the book!
Mr. Eric Burns, a well known writer and analyst checked out the book and he says "out of The first eleven reference of the book, there are nine references to his previous books!" In other words, he quotes himself in order to mislead the Country concerning this man. What a sham and what a darn shame! Sadly, some of you will believe the stuff.
Wayne,

It is obvious that you are a disciple of Obama.

"Sweetness and Light" is a good site for you to debate the virtues of Obama.

This site exalts the Lord Jesus Christ.

d'wayne, it saddens me that an angry black man like yourself feels the need to troll a site of christians. if you're going to stir things up, why not pick a site devoted to race relations?
whatever so.cal junior college you flunked out of did a great job of teaching you whitey-hating revisionist rhetoric, but a horrible job of "impersonating a young white liberal 101"
everyone, please stop giving "d'wayne x" the satisfaction of making earnest arguments against his angry straight-outta-compton nonsense...he's only here to cause trouble
Christian Warrior,

I'm with ya on that! d'wayne, as you refer to him, isn't interested in reason. He's game playing, following in the footsteps of his beloved BHO.

No, I think we can start with the men I listed since they are the "Righteous" ones. Obama, while clearly a sinner as we all are, has more character than the afore-mentioned persons. You don't hear about Obama running around on his wife or, that he likes "little boys!"
Nor do you hear of President Bush being unfaithful to his wife.

However, we know that John Edwards,
Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, have been unfaithful to their wives.

I'd say that Obama is more like President Bush in terms of being faithful to his marital vows; however, Obama's marriage is only into its 2nd decade. Give it time.

Your list of "Righteous" men is invalid in making your point.

Sherry:
Apparently you agree with me about McCain! Somebody has mislead the Republicans into thinking that they speak for God. Wow! What a joke. Let's look at the Republicans:
1. George Bush-- a liar and a war monger.
2. Dick Cheney-- uses office to get richer.
3. Karl Rove--cover up man, running from US Congress to protect president.
4. Newt Ginrich-- a serial adulterer.
5. Bob Livingston-- would be speaker of house after Newt, but was exposed as a serial adulterer.
6. Mark Foley-- a Homosexual pervert who likes "little boys".
7. Rush Limbaugh--Drug Addict
I could go on, but will stop at the magic number of 7. This is the party that speaks for and represents God?? Wow! What a tragedy! I'll take Obama over these clowns any day!
Wayne,

Then you agree. These men, like all others, are sinners in need of a Savior. So, as a professed Redeemed one, let your mission be that to which you were called by the Lord Jesus Christ. "Go, therefore into all the world and make disciples."

Making disciples means a call to "deny oneself" - "take up one's cross" - and, "follow Christ."

You can start with Obama.

Wayne,

I do hope you will reply to my previous post.

Just a few more comments -

Skin color seems to be the determining factor for you in ascribing the sin of discrimination? In other words, "white people have the sin of discrimination towards black people in their hearts." My question to you, "Could the reverse be true?"

What do you think God thinks about this?

"Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart."

As a redeemed man, do you seek to look at a man as God sees him? Or, have you bought into the lie - the politically correct view that a mass apology from white people needs to be directed at the black people? How will that accomplish anything?

There are those who for their own financial and political gain have manipulated the masses by promulgating this position. They have said it often enough that it is a familiar cliche and readily accept as true by the unthinking masses.

The Father of Lies is behind all lies and he desires division, damnation, and destruction in individual lives, in families, and in nations. Don't subscribe to his lies. "A house(nation) divided against itself cannot stand."

Wake up! Think about whose philosophy you are parroting. Be led according to the TRUTH of God's Word.

I would not agree with you in your asessment that White America has done their part by way of genuine repentance in their ill treatment of Black people!

[QUOTE]Wayne,

I'm curious as to what you would have white America to do to rectify this collective sin? What would genuine repentance look like? When would we know that the problem of discrimination is finally dealt a death blow, and would we have to deal with this in every generation, in every country, in every heart? How would we do that?

Jesus came to earth, to deliver us from our sins - that would include the sin of discrimination - and it is individual repentance unto salvation that saves, not mass repentance, and mass salvation.

I would like for you to explain how mass remorse against a group of nameless people, and mass apology is the answer to the sin of hearts unchanged by the Grace of God.

I await a reply to your solution to this politically correct view of the white man's offense against the black man.

I will state that the offense is against God, first. So, that may be where you begin your argument.
