“ Interesting... ”
Amazing testimony of miracle(s) and hope when everything was apparently hopeless. This man was saved every whit, and his hope restored. "You don't have to be in prison to be in prison."

“ Short audio clip ”
In this short audio clip less than 2 min long, John emphasizes that the Book of Enoch is NOT inspired by the Holy Spirit, but was a piece of literature from which Jude, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, took one true statement to meet the occasion.

Very good sermon with some very good insight and points about modern day Phariseeism which many people would not consider.

Sermon:
East of Eden
Liam Goligher

“ The Beginning ”
Discusses the origin and essence of evil. He argues that "evil depends on goodness for it's existence", is "parasitic" and yet will finally be shown to serve the overarching purposes of God. It exists only with God's permission, for God brings good OUT of evil. Yet sin remains a riddle, and is NOT normal or what it means to be human; we were NOT created with sin. (It is perhaps best understood, IMO, when one considers that Light shines brightest in Darkness). Sin is nonetheless alien, an intruder, and a transgression of the Law of God.

“ Wonderful testimony ”
Very worth the listen. Some good teaching on sanctification in here too. The audio fails at 40 min and 40 seconds into the testimony. You can still make it out but it is as if from a distance. If it really bothers you headphones might help.

Franklin, you disappoint me! My HOLY Bible tells me what a Christian is and is not. It is completely obvious Obama is NOT a Christian, he has too much blood on his hands: the first thing he did when he took office was repeal the ban on partial birth abortion. His first concern in office was to make sure the butchery continues!

I'm glad you at least cast doubt on his "spiritual" condition, Franklin, but why all the dancing around the subject? You didn't use to be that way, you were once bold and blunt. What has happened to you, Franklin Graham?

The most moving part of this sermon is near the end (after around min 39), at least for me. Just beautiful.

Listened to this sermon a second time. To explain the title: John Wesley was a founder of the modern Holiness Movement and defined sin as a willful action. However, the true Biblical definition of sin goes much farther than that, sin being more than just a willful action. We are unaware of a great many of our sins. Pastor Leiter refutes the idea that you will never sin ever again once you become a Christian. But God will open His child's eyes more and more as we grow..."Sin is much more than a transgression of a known law..." "The more you grow, the more you see". Perfectionistic holiness teaching is quite harmful!! Testimony from Harry Ironside included.

What they should be doing is preaching and teaching about MARRIAGE and how to have a good marriage outside of the bedroom. If a marriage is good outside of the bedroom then things will fall into place INSIDE the bedroom. This exhibitionism is both unnecessary AND wrong-focused. Moreover, never in the history of Christianity have any of the great preachers of our time resorted to this sort of circus. Did we ever see Charles Spurgeon, Finney, Whitefield, or any other great preacher having to stoop to such things? Or how about the apostle Paul or Peter? Jesus? Yet marriage problems have always existed, they are not new today. This behavior is just another example of how far off the deep end American churches have gone. Like the church in the news last week that started it's own tattoo parlor. Religion that is just a business, as usual.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Been in lots of churches here in lots of denominations. Can't recall ever hearing the Gospel or anything about repentance. It's all "ask Jesus into your heart" is all. False gospel, subtle works. It was only when i stopped going to churches and listened online that i finally heard the Gospel.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Right on. Well said Pastor Jeff. It's not Jesus PLUS something else, it's just Christ and Christ alone. Not Christ plus a magic prayer formula asking him into your heart or being baptized or anything else. Christ did it all and "it is finished".

Sermon:
Lessons About Fasting
Jeff Arthur

“ p.s. ”
Pastor points out there are some people who cannot fast and should not fast for health reasons (i,e diabetics, etc). Thank you Pastor. Sometimes sermons on fasting can make those of us who cant fast for health reasons feel burdened and guilty because we want to but can't. But perhaps there are other things people can fast from such as desserts, coffee, internet, tv, or favorite things.

Lessons About Fasting

“ Helpful sermon ”
Pastor points out that we are NOT commanded to fast but it seems to be assumed that we will. God's people (in America) today don't fast OR pray. Churches have become entertainment centers to draw a crowd instead. Another major cause is the presence of the tv set in homes. All true. He also points out some wrong motives for fasting. The Pharisees fasted twice a week, seeking to be spiritual. FASTING WILL *NOT* CHANGE GOD'S WILL, pastor says. But fasting will change you, as you draw near to God. I.e. King David fasted and lay on the ground all day and night when his child from Bathsheba was sick. His fasting did not change God's will but it changed David; God had already said the child would die. David was brought into closer fellowship with God thru fasting & praying in the midst of it, and was able to continue on and even to worship God, knowing that the dead child was with the Lord. I found this sermon VERY helpful in understanding fasting and knowing when to fast. When to fast: ANY TIME OF GREAT DISTRESS IS AN OCCASION FOR FASTING AND PRAYER. A TIME OF REPENTANCE CAN BE A TIME FOR FASTING.(i.e national repentance) A TIME OF SEEKING GOD'S WILL CAN BE A TIME TO FAST. FOR THE PURPOSE OF DRAWING NEAR TO GOD. You make better decisions when you are closer

Sermon:
Suicide: What You Must Know About It
Dr. Charles A. Stewart
5
comments
“ Good Sermon! ”
To hear some people talk you would think suicide is the unpardonable sin, which it isn't--last time i checked. I think Stewart's sermon is on track and to say that someone who falls into abject despair couldn't possibly have been truly saved to begin with is nonsense. Did not even Elijah despair at one point and ask to die? To say that God would never allow someone to fall that far to the point of wanting & acting to take his own life would imply that God doesn't allow free will. Thank you Pastor Stewart for reminding us that God died (and rose again) for ALL our sins--past, present, and future.

“ Very Good sermon ”
Very good sermon, very helpful in clarifying sin issues for the Christian. Encouraging and hopeful. Also differentiates between what is willful sin and ignorant sins.
