I've been waiting for the Dumbledore thing to get its own blurb here before commenting, but I gotta say here is a plain reason to avoid the Potter books. I enjoy magic and fantasy, even horror as much as the next guy, but throwing a homosexual character, espescially one in charge of children, in to the scenario just takes the novels from the realm of being questionable to flat out must be avoided.

Yeah it's another poll used to show that Americans support equal rights under the law for everyone. This is not a bad thing and really does not show support for the homo death style, in fact seeing such large numbers who oppose equal treatment should cause more concern. Yes, homosexuality is a sin, God calls it an abomination, and our schools do misuse the 'tolerance' doctrine to spread the agenda, but at the end of the day homosexuals are sinners just like we were/are, and deserve to be treated fairly under the law. NO SPECIAL TREATMENT, just equal treatment. One brought up that the sodomites should be stoned to death, true under old testament law, but remember we are not under that penalty any longer. As for Roggio, my two-cents says keep reading the Bible and keep praying. If you are sinful and ask for forgiveness, God is quick to forgive, and He'll keep on forgiving as long as your heart is repentant. One day you can even beat this temptation with God's grace or it may be that thorn in your side that is never removed, unfortunately. The fact is in either case as long as you call sin what it is and seek the Lord, he has more than enough grace and forgiveness for you. Many of the Homosexual's problems are caused by wanting acceptance rather than forgiveness;

The other thing would be for the childless, and those with children to mind each others own respective businesses. It is like the parable with the vineyard workers in which the boss paid his all day workers the same amount as he paid those who worked an hour. Those who worked all day agreed to the wage and that was their deal; those who worked one hour agreed to a wage and that was their deal. Now days we throw discrimination and all that, so it's harder for a boss to do as he will, but if a mother or father warns his employer that he will need to be off for certain 'family' things, I see nothing wrong with it. It was a situation that the boss knew before he hired the worker.

We should be stewards of the environment, and we fail on many levels. Goin' all hippie and driving the electric car and whatnot is a bit extreme. I keep looking forward to Christ returning, and then all of these issues will be resolved. God won't end this age until he is ready, but he may decide to let us, as the human race, sit in the filth that we created for ourselves. In other words taking care of the environment is not a bad thing as long as one doesn't go to the extreme to do it.

I agree that our calling is to bring as many sinners to Christ as possible. At the same time we can't sit back in the US and let the abortion mills keep running and the homo marriage keep happening. Bringing in sinners by the bus load who claim the name of Christ, but refuse to even try to change their behaviour is futile. One can't be a Christian homo nor a Christian abortionist. Both of those sins can be forgiven just like any other sin, but the nation itself will be judged based on our acceptence or rejection of these ideologies (among others). I know it is better to preach the gospel and God's saving grace, which is for everyone, without the guns blazing hellfire and brimstone approach, but sometimes sin has to be called sin and murder has to be called murder. The US allows its people to murder the unborn children, and as long as that keeps happening I can't support the country. If the image of Christianity is tarnished in the view of some because of speaking out against abortion, then I'm afraid I will have to keep tarnishing it. The bigger problem is probably with scandals within the church moreso than any political movement anyway.

I've decided to vote for Paul for as long as he is a viable candidate. He is like Ross Perot minus the crazy. He speaks with common sense and has a proven trac record to back up the things he says. Look in to it for yourself.

Yeah, that was an easy call because we have been saturated by McDonald's jingles from the time we're born until the time their products put us in an early grave. On the other hand, not much of a big deal is made about the ten commandments and I know of no catchy tunes to help me remember them. I can probably name the ten commandments if pressed to do so but, the Brady Bunch theme and McDonald's jingles are seared in to my mind...it's kind of sad actually.

Just people wanting attention. The only real confessions we need to make are to Christ himself, there is no other mediator. I do think "confession" or at least finding someone to talk to that one trusts, hopefully a pastor fits in there, makes a person feel better. I can even see sharing difficulties with the church community so that a person can get support, but sticking up confessions on youtube is kind of an attention getting stunt.

This is one of the things up for debate. I have no doubt that Noah and his family, along with their animals, or animals indigenous to the area where Noah lived, were the only ones to survive a literal world wide flood. The debate comes in defining 'world'; ala how the Americas were known as the new world. A world wide flood could be limited to a smaller scale than what we consider today to be world wide. It makes no difference really, God's wrath destroyed a sinful nation (or world if you prefer) and only saved the remnant from which we would get the saviour. If there were areas on this planet that did not recieve judgement one can assume they were either pleasing to God or that they were given so little knowledge of God that they were not held accountable by the same standards as God's chosen people. The good that comes from geological evidence of the massive flood is that people have to deal with it. They can say it was limited and that Noah never existed, but they can not say the story is an allegory, because now the evidence is there.

I always throw this in on these discussions. In my view the greatest sin in America is the up and running abortion mills. This is legalized killing, call it sacrifice to the god of Mamon ultimitely, completely sanctioned by our government. As a nation we have so much innocent blood on our hands that the whole 'gay rights' thing seems pale by comparison, and yet it all fits in:

cheapening life:

1. Abortion-killing a complete innocent
2. Euthanasia-killng often innocent, usually helpless/terminal-often pain relieving meds illegal for use (rather kill them or let them suffer than to smoke a joint once in a while)
3. suicide-taking one's own life.
4.murder-taking another's life.
5.Homosexual life style-stopping procreation, promotes disease,
6.Evolution- stating that life is nothing but an accident so all of the above is perfectly acceptable behavior.

I'm sure there are even more parts to the equation but it all adds up to life being cheap/meaningless/temporary, so do whatever you want while you can. Too many in our nation have accepted it, and yes one day, pay day is coming.

I don't go in for all that hippie tree-hugging mumbo jumbo, but we are called to be stewards of the Earth. In that regard, generally speaking, we are abysmal failures. I'm not saying to go get an electric car or whatnot, but simple things like wasting paper and using so many plastic bags (a big problem in the USA) for groceries is trashing the planet for no reason.

Not much to add here as I agree with everybody on this one. Just throwing my a-men in there. Yoga has too much spiritualism in it and can lead a weaker Christian in to its ways. It's especially dangerous for the very young. In some cases even the martial arts go a little too far in their philosophy as well.

If I didn't know any better I would think all Jesus did was hang out in correctional facilities before parole time and court houses before verdict/sentencing time because that's where most people seem to find him. I won't question Vick's conversion, that's between him and God, but if the other celebs are any indicator, then Vick better really start reading the Bible if he wants to truly leave the decadant "thug" life behind.

Here's an observance, why would anyone who makes 22million dollars a year plus endorsements throw it all away for a penny ante dog fighting ring. To a guy like Vick the kind of money the fights brought in was a drop in the bucket, even if he did have a stable of cronies/leeches to support. The answer, like Solomon, happiness is not found in an abundance of things. All this world's goods are nothing but vanity.

Final thought, Vick is very young. There is still a good chance that he can turn his life around. This is NOT to make an excuse for him, but I'm 33 and I would have no clue what to do with a fortune like his...and I am a Christian. A young, worldly fellow gets that kind of cash and lackeys who never tell him no and trouble is sure to follow. He may turn it around and come out of this a good Christian role-model. We never know what good God will do

The mayor shouldn't be ashamed of what he said. Not only should the homos be looked after for their public displays of lewdness, but a lot of the young heteros need to be called out too. I work at a movie theatre so every weekend I see more and more make-out sessions that go beyond the bounds of just kissing and hugging. Those doing it seem to get younger every year also. We have caught, on at least three different occaisons that I know of, the full on act. People in the US have no shame. The theatre I work at is also considered a "family" theatre compared to the other ones in the city. I would hate to see what a lower class theatre attracted.

Actually I was being sarcastic about the whole celibacy removes temptation comment. It's not funny if I have to explain it, but many would feel that being tempted by a young altar boy would be much worse than being tempted by a woman. Many priests have fallen from their position because of this behavior (or have kept their position but were hidden in a new locale hence all the lawsuits). See it's funny because it doesn't work and in cases leads to something worse.

I agree with you on that. It is one of the reasons for my non-denominational stance. I have seen too many pastors fall in to scandal because of what the congregation does. It's also one of the few good reasons for having celebate clergymen. Removing the threat of flirtatious and tempting women. Of course worse things happen as many church scandals prove. For better or worse though, some good men have to step up and take the challenge or else we would be sheep without an earthly sheapherd. I think Christ's return is pending, just think of it: an aging/corrupt pastoral poole, congregations that don't attend and don't want to hear the Bible when they do, "feel-good"/"name it and claim it" ministries thriving, homos allowed as church leaders, and now few young men wanting to replace the aging. Something has to give God will not allow his church to disappear until...better start repenting now sinners! (me too)

I can't judge the people, I don't know them, and it's God's job in the first place. I will say this in a completely secular way...THAT DUDE IS FREAKIN' NUTS TO LET A LADY THAT LOOKS LIKE THAT GET AWAY!!!!...sorry, but it's true.

I will miss Kennedy. I think his productions against evolution, against abortion, and for creationism were really helpful and well produced. The information was presented in such a way that the average joe wouldn't immediately turn the station thinking they were produced by some Christian crack-pot. You guys are crazy if you think he deceived people, if anything he led more people to Christ than the average Christian ever will (that includes me too say the least).

Laughable if it were not so sad. This is where confusion and ignorance cause undecided to decide for atheisim. A church that believes the Bible needs to follow the clear rules of the Bible. The organization can not allow the "abomination" of homosexual union and turn around and say that a woman (her own homosexuality not withstanding) is not allowed to pastor. Having women as "pastors" is a matter for debate. I think it depends on her position in the church, the head of the church should be male. At the same time women can hold any other position and probably could perform a weddings as long as she is not the head of the church. Again, that is up for debate, but homosexuality in any form is called an abomination in God's eyes. If a denomination is allowing practicing homos to be pastors/preists then why even debate the "females silent in church" issue. This denomination has already thrown God's word out they may as well call themselves Unitarians, Deists, or Egnonstics because they are believing in and trying to please a god of their own creation not the God of the Christian faith.

Let's take these lemons and make lemon-aid. Think of all the extra restroom space that will be available at ballgames or concerts. Speaking as a man we usually have enough space and bathroom waiting lines that are not too big. However, I always here ladies complain about the lack of restroom space at such events. In the worst case scenario they could go to one of these new restrooms and not be arrested vs. today when they may have to enter a men's only restroom or a wooded area, that could result in arrest. Better to enter the trany room than to wet yourself...or worse.

Yeah...I'm just being funny, it is a stupid waste of time and in this case will only cause:tuition to go up for the students (building the restrooms, cleaning them, security to patrol them constantly), increases in sexual and physical assaults (if they are not constantly monitored...straight guys bothering girls/well meaning but wrong people assaulting the homos/tranies), more forced "tolerance and diversity", and probably for restrooms that will be used by only a few students.
