Charles Spurgeon vs Barack ObamaCHS's Morning and Evening: Daily Devotions Morning, September 25 “Just, and the justifier of him which believeth.” Romans 3:26 Being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Conscience accuses no longer. Judgment now decides for the sinner instead of against him. Memory looks back upon past sins, with deep sorrow for the sin, but yet with no dread of any penalty to come; for Christ has paid the debt of his people to the last jot and tittle, and received the divine receipt; and unless God can be so unjust as to demand double payment for one debt, no soul for whom Jesus died as a substitute can ever be cast into hell. It seems to be one of the very principles of our enlightened nature to believe that God is just; we feel that it must be so, and this gives us our terror at first; but is it not marvellous that this very same belief that God is just, becomes afterwards the pillar of our confidence and peace!... |

Faith's Check Book, Daily Entry C. H. Spurgeon September 24 The Life-Giving Stream And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live. (Ezekiel 47:9) The living waters, in the prophet's vision, flowed into the Dead Sea and carried life with them, even into that stagnant lake. Where grace goes, spiritual life is the immediate and the everlasting consequence. Grace proceeds sovereignly according to the will of God, even as a river in all its windings follows its own sweet will; and wherever it comes it does not wait for life to come to it, but it creates life by its own quickening flow. Oh, that it would pour along our streets and flood our slums! Oh, that it would now come into my house and rise till every chamber were made to swim with it! Lord, let the living water flow to my family and my friends, and let it not pass me by. I hope I have drunk of it already; but I desire to bathe in it, yea, to swim in it. O my Savior, I need life more abundantly. Come to me, I pray Thee, till every part of my nature is vividly energetic and intensely active...I am a poor, dry stick; come and make me so to live that, like Aaron's rod, I may bud and blossom and bring forth fruit unto Thy glory... |

a "simple" satireRevelation 1:6 And [Jesus Christ] hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Note the past tense "hath made us kings". Spiritually speaking the saved are already kings. Revelation 1:6 looks at the believer's present spiritual position "in Christ". I am aware of three other Bible translations that use the word "kings" in Rev. 1.6 and I only made a cursory search. As my birth certificate testifies to and John UK once in a while, my first name is David. Allow me to introduce my self, spiritually speaking, as king David. I don't doubt for a moment there is also, spiritually speaking, a king John UK, a king John Hranek, as well as a king Dolores and a king Christopher. The Bible, try 1 Samuel if you want to see the book with the most references, 61, reveals that King David of the Bible had a extremely close friend named Jonathan. My satire makes opposite Troll Spotter and I , if you understand what is stated at my Satire link, the idea that Troll Spotter and I are at this moment close friends. And if you really understand things written at my Satire link you also understand that my Satire doesn't satirize Troll Spotter to demean him or because I hate him. |

Christopher000 my dear brother Here is the rest of my previously indicated unfinished last post: and wouldn't participate unless asked a direct question. I then, in effect, asked God: what do I do? I have taken the time to do what he asked for even though numerous witnesses have witnessed it is time to leave the thread and now even he is witnessing it is time to move on. The answer then, in effect, came back to not be so foolish but realize God wanted everybody to move on from continuing on that thread. God's answer also indicated to me that my job was to follow Him not what I wanted to do or Chris wanted me to do or anybody else wanted me to do. He allowed me to understand that He would indicate to me the proper time and place for me to deal with the particular requests made by Chris if He ever wanted me to do that. Dolores and Helps, Spurgeon is one of my very favorite Christian writers. The gifts for writing God gave him were tremendous. Spurgeon could be so very eloquent when speaking about very serious things. Yet he could be so tender and gracious when speaking about matters of the heart that he could bring one close to tears at a times. He was a truly gifted by God man. |

Christopher000 my dear brother Philippians 2:4 KJV Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. I don't want you to think I have forgotten about you. Yesterday, I considered very carefully your request to me to explain certain things you don't understand about some of my statements as well as your request for a more simple explanation in regard to certain things. I thought about those requests for a while realizing that God had provided several witnesses in that thread to, in effect, move on from that thread. God convinced me, that I ought to prepare a "simple" explanation of how I can state truthfully that I can be considered a Roman Catholic yet at the same time not be considered a Roman Catholic. I then did what I was convinced God wanted me to do concerning you. He didn't tell me to then go back and post the comment thus continue the thread but rather make a "simple" comment and then go back and look at the thread. I did that but it took longer than I thought it would as my heading was just swimming because of various things occurring where I live. When I got back to the thread you had another comment that, in effect, stated you were convinced you shouldn't be involved anymore...unless... More |

Morning, September 23 “Accepted in the beloved.” Ephesians 1:6 (Spurgeon's Morning and Evening: Daily Devotions)What a state of privilege! It includes our justification before God, but the term “acceptance” in the Greek means more than that. It signifies that we are the objects of divine complacence, nay, even of divine delight. How marvellous that we, worms, mortals, sinners, should be the objects of divine love! ...Rejoice then, believer, in this: thou art accepted “in the beloved.” ...Thy sins trouble thee; but God has cast thy sins behind his back, and thou art accepted in the Righteous One. Thou hast to fight with corruption, and to wrestle with temptation, but thou art already accepted in him who has overcome the powers of evil. The devil tempts thee; be of good cheer, he cannot destroy thee, for thou art accepted in him who has broken Satan’s head. Know by full assurance thy glorious standing. Even glorified souls are not more accepted than thou art. They are only accepted in heaven “in the beloved,” and thou art even now accepted in Christ after the same manner. |

John UK wrote: Dolores, your posts have matured so much that it is a cause of great praise to Father. The last few days I have been greatly edified by your writings, the fruit evidencing the source - the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ himself. Praise the Lord, and Praise him again! Watching John UK, Michael Hranek, and Dolores operate in this thread today, when I had a chance, reminded me figuratively of two particular brothers and a sister operating in close harmony for the glory of God:Moses, Aaron, and Miriam Watching John Uk, Michael Hranek, and Dolores in this thread today provided one of the greatest demonstrations of spiritual leadership I have every seen by two brothers and a sister: Thank you SteveR for your kind words concerning me. I tried one post tonight to see if I could think coherently after today's events where I live. I believe I will probably be stronger and able to participate more tomorrow. God held me up and provided some very encouraging help where I live, when I needed it most. Psalm 34:19 KJV Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. |

spiritualdwarf originally posted a comment that spiritualdwarf viewed as in the the wrong thread. Yet God has seen fit to allow remaining a statement that states "Whoops wrong topic" Penned then comes along and reminds us that the original topic is about something else than what has occupied this thread for two days. Have we been given two witnesses from God to move on from what we have been encamped at for two days? I don't know the answer to my question. If He wants us to at this point move on I am certainly agreeable. If He wants us to stay encamped dealing for the next five years with what we have been dealing with for the last two days I am also agreeable to that. What God wants me to do is what interests me. In any case, I am leaving now and, Lord willing, will return tomorrow to see what direction has been chosen. |

At 9/21/14 5:36 PM I illustrated what I view as an insulting question concerning Dolores and Michael Hranek as well as what I view as a demeaning statement about both by Peaceable.I then asked the question to Peaceable about his statements: Did the Holy Spirit indicate to you that you should say that? If so, I would love to see you illustrate it. He replied three minutes later by quoting from me what I just quoted in the last paragraph. As well as asking the question of me: Did the Holy Spirit indicate to you that you should ask that question? If so, I would love to see you illustrate it. My answer to your question is yes Peaceable He did. For you see Jesus Christ is come in the flesh and as 1 John 4:1-2 plainly reveals I am to try the spirits for they are not all of God: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:" Some of the spirits not of God are from unsaved unregenerate men and women. Some of the spirits not of God are from the ungodly "old man"'s carnal nature that dwells in every saved born again Christian man and woman. |
