This is disheartening if "'close to' 4.63 million" online viewers listened to Olsteen's message is true. Now, it will be irresponsible for me (or anyone else) to say that all of these viewers are lost for no one knows but the Lord who are truly His. Paul, in 2 Corinthians, severely chastises that assembly of believers for receiving men who he labelled as "false apostles, deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ" (2Cor 11:13). Remember in an earlier letter to this assembly Paul lamented "Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly - as infants in Christ" (1Cor 3:1). The point is many believers today remain spiritual infants "tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting" (Eph 4:14). They will all stand before the Lord at His judgement seat and get His "review" and reward. No one can complain if the reward they receive from Him is paltry. Also, we must be careful of the things we view online concerning conspiracy theories. To quote Edgar Poe "Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see." |

"Representative Sonya Williams-Barnes of Gulfport was critical of HB 1295, voting against the bill when it was in a House committee earlier this month.“Women should have a right to make a choice for themselves whether they want to have a child or not,” stated Williams-Barnes, as reported by the Associated Press. “My concern is, you make the woman have the child that has these deficiencies, but yet are you going to give her any medical aid or home care assistance for the child?” Mrs. William-Barnes is a Black woman (I am a Black man) and our race has been decimated by abortion mills, black on black murders, and drug addiction in our neighborhoods. She has the nerve to ask where "medical aid or home care assistance" for these children comes from. As a state representative, she has the power of the purse; add appropriate funding to the bill. Hypocritical Black women like her are numerous in our churches (especially African Methodist Episcopal). And her comment "you make the woman have the child" sickens me. She acts like babies just pop up out of nowhere like an infection that women must get rid of. She sounds like the Pharisee who asked Jesus "Who is my neighbor?" |
