Kestrel,Sorry I misunderstood - maybe you could state your case a little clearer next time though. savedgeezer, The verse you gave about hating the deeds - in case you didn\'t know: Deeds are not sins, but I\'m not going to argue that with you - it\'s pointless. HOWEVER, NOW, you have gotten into defining the terms. Moreover, you have assumed to know my definition of how the Bible uses the word hate or hatred. By the way, your assumption is wrong. In fact, in the passage where I quote from, (Luke 14:26), the Lord Jesus Christ defines hate better than Adam Clarke could ever imagine (if you can imagine that). Down in (Vs 33) he defines what he meant by hate with the word forsaketh. So... as far as all that goes - I am in no way advocating a Christian spitting in the face of an unsaved person - I am simply stating that the unsaved must understand that the wrath of God is abiding upon them and that they need to repent and believe on Christ. If all they get is the love of God, they are going to get the impression that they need not to repent - that\'s all I\'m saying. And I trust, that if you spent any time with me at all, you\'d understand that I am not going around cussing out lost people! I never meant to give that impression!! I am simply for declaring all the counsel of God, which includes the fact that lost people are under God\'s wrath and need to be warned. I hope this clarifies somewhat. PS, and this is to all, what exactly are YOU doing, to warn the unsaved concerning their need for Jesus Christ?!!? |

savedgeezer,Of course Sodomites can be saved. Are YOU in need of repentance in this sin?!!? However, they (you, whatever the case may be) must turn to God in repentance and place saving faith in the gospel. My point is that if they (you, whatever the case may be) think that God loves them/you just the way they/you are... they/you will not repent - and except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish. But allow me to answer your question about hating. You asked: Can anyone show me where in the bible (sic) where Jesus said to Hate (sic) the sinner? I\\\'ll go you one better than that: Luke 14:26: If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. By the way, I have a little challenge for you as well: Can you show me where Jesus told us to specifically hate the sin. And I said SPECIFICALLY!!!! Kestrel, Who am I not forgiving? PS, there is no forgiveness without repentance. Do you think that we should have a different standard than God?!!? Why, we are called upon to be godly and to follow after godliness!!!! God does not forgive unless someone is repentant. Because... until someone is repentant, they are not seeking forgiveness. This is why the law, the wrath and judgment of God must be declared against sin and sinner alike. It is not the SIN that needs to repent - it is the SINNER. knowsnothingatall, So you have worldly peace with Jesus do you? The Jesus Christ of the Bible said: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. So... you just go on with your WORLDLY peace, but know that you are not getting it from the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible! Bro. Williams, Amen brother! When you have both Arminian and Calvinist foaming at the mouth... you are probably right where you need to be!!!! |
