St Terry -

I'm not sure how a lack of citing Jesus makes the ADF satanic, so please explain. I think if you really delve into things you will come to a different perspective. While it is important to look at things from a Christian perspective, it is not necessary to mention Jesus in every paragraph.

The ADF seeks to uphold the Christian principle of this nation using legal methods and citing those documents of the founding fathers. While they and I may believe those statements and beliefs to be founded in the Bible and the work of Christ, stating that something should be so because that's what Jesus would have you do - will not get you far in court.

ADF statement of faith:

Hmm-

Since when does selection (it's not even natural selection here!) equal evolution?

If tall people are more likely to get married and have lots of kids, then the average height will increase over time - does that mean people evolved to be taller? I don't think so.

This church is actually about 30 minutes from where I live (not sure why they call it southwestern MI - it's actually pretty close to right in the middle of the state going east to west).

Any way from a local perspective, this church has some big problems - the greatest of which is the unchecked power of the pastor. Like many baptist churches the pastor is the one in charge - I believe they do have a council of some sort there, but with the current pastor (who hasn't been there for a very long time) many people were forced out and left because they didn't agree with the pastor.

This is one of the reasons that having elders in charge of the church is my preference, when you have a pastor with so much power - it often leads to problems.

Certainly this woman has issues - the best thing to do would just be to leave and find a good bible-believing church. Ideally in a Church that is obedient to the Bible, one needs to submit to the discipline of the elders. This whole "ancient" practice stuff is garbage - many Churches have continued this throughout the centuries - it is only liberalism that has crept in caused churches to stray from scripture.

From what I've gathered it appears that one of the major issues is that companies do not want litigation caused by parents overdosing their kids - just because a small number of foolish parents give their kids more than they are supposed to, a good product is taken off the market.

My toddler daughter will cough all night when she has a simple cold, but a small dose of cough medicine keeps here cough free all night - and allows my wife and I to sleep!

Shocking? Surprised? Please!

This has been the major criticism for years. It is NOT numbers that matter! It is bringing people to Christ and bringing them to maturity in him.

The question is, will this change the way most these places do anything? It certainly brings in money.

Norm-

I think Wayne was implying that this non-Christian behavior was being supported by the WCC. Truly we should be glad God brought the gospel to those girded in loincloths dancing around altars, for many of us will still stuck in our sin and misery.

BTW - I used to live in Aberdeen near the I-95 exit ramp.

Some of Kennedy's sermons and other media can be found at:
http://www.coralridge.org/medialibrary.asp

His teaching about the Stars and the Zodiac has been somewhat misconstrued. He didn't advocate the use of it as supplemental or in place of scripture. Using historical evidence and anecdotes showed how much of the 'ancient' zodiac actually pointed towards the Gospel. Over time this was corrupted and led to the astrology we have today.

Much as Nature points to a creator God and the need of man for a savior.

This couple deserves prison-

If they were that concerned about being "vegan" then what is wrong with breastfeeding? Isn't that they way God made women - so that she could care for her infants? There are cases where it might be difficult - but come on the formula companies make Soy based formula!

I just heard about this yesterday. The missionaries who were arrested and later released are affiliated/supported by my local Church and denomination.

Thankfully they reported that no one was being mistreated. The major complaint was overcrowding. They reported good spirits and amazing fellowship amongst the Christians.

Let us pray for these individuals and those who arrested them. May their witness bring new sheep into the flock!

What the heck is a "Holy Sticker" never heard of such a thing.

I'm sure theses charges are fake, but the fact that the law allows for these charges in any case is deplorable.

God help these Christians - soon it could be us!

Expositor you have drifted from the topic and what you say is in direct conflict with scripture.

God many times told the Hebrew people to be pure and not marry outside the Jewish people. Was this to keep the race pure? No! God himself brought in Rahab and Ruth, 2 NON-Jews into his kingdom. Not only into his kingdom but as ancestors of our Christ! The reason God put this prohibition in was that foreign people led his people astray.

Where in the world do you get that whole separate Adamic/Noahic people thing? Sounds like some of the bunk slave holders used to believe.

All are descendants of Noah. God destroyed the Whole world - where'd the "other" people come from then?

While not familiar with Black culture in the UK, if it is anything like that in the US, Mr. Blair is probably not too far from the truth.

The problem has nothing to do with the people's color or genetic makeup. In urban USA, I believe it is a cultural problem that has been creeping out of the black/urban areas into white/hispanic urban, suburban, and even some rural areas.

The so-called hip hop or gangta culture - that praises violence, power, and money and denigrates police and the law. Drugs and drug money are OK, killing your rival is OK, jail time = street cred.

It is a said and very depraved culture - one that can only be redeemed by Christ, not some social program

just to clarify:

"The LOVE of money is a root of all kinds of evil" 1 Tim 6:10 (emphasis mine)

Doubtless that was the case with this man. However lets remember that money itself is not evil - if it was wouldn't offering of money be sinful?

Lotteries are a sinful enterprise and typically become nothing but a tax on the poor and foolish

Looked at the "What we believe" section of their site - basically a whole bunch of text that doesn't even answer the question!

One line was funny "Look again at the photos. These are joyful people"

Definitely not a Bible believing Church

Searched through a bunch of mumbo jumbo and found they reject the Trinity

Probably the main reason Perry did this was because he got a lot of campaign money from Merck.

While I don't have any issues with Vaccines themselves - I don't like being forced by the government to do things. I do realize though that as long as the law does not contradict scripture it should be obeyed (I suppose you could debate this).

This was an Executive Order and the Legislature can step in and say otherwise - though that in unsure.

I find no reason for Christian woman not to get this vaccine for two reasons: First while the virus is normally an STD-there are rare circumstance where it can be transmitted other ways. Second, we do not live in a perfect world - Christians do succomb to temptation and Christians are also the victims of rape; I doubt many rapists use proper protection.

Oh goody - the liberal saviors to the rescue! We thought the Bible was the source of Moral value - but it's politicians. No wonder lying and adultry are seen as ok.

Of course the true Church will keep doing what is right - whether or not it is considered tax exempt.

I'd say its a case of the lesser of two evils and thats the problem.

People need to learn that God doesn't change along with culture.

As GK Chesterton said:

"Fallacies do not cease to be fallacies because they become fashions."

Companies with a perfect 0 score:

Exxon Mobil
Meijer
Perot Systems

That's it 3 major corporations!

Funny that a group named Human Rights Campaign only seems to care about giving extras to those that embrace depravity!
