just joking about the dogs too john !

think over the creation talk idea wont you ?

most people can eat veggie no problem at all and dont need meat and i think (for what its worth) that people who eat veggie do have more energy and its easier on the stomach to. like i say i used to box and i didnt eat meat - God decides our days anyway - most peoples health problems would soon be resolved by taking more excercise

Oh and do you eat bats or swans? Or cats and dogs?
I would only say on this John that a dog is not just for christmas dinner and i find it a shame that so many people do have a dog for christmas - oh why oh why ? when there are so many alternatives ? I dont think there is anything in the bible about having dog for christmas but it 'might cause our brother to stumble'

Thx alan h i didnt realise DJC was being sarcastic ! guess he was tho but I thought his post was pretty funny esp the one with the snake eating the kangaroo he he ! another photoshop masterpiece like that one of the shark eating the helicopter ?

Some snakes have leg bones so they had legs but lost them hmmm something about that in genesis isnt there ? so now they have to go about on their belly

BTW DJC it wouldnt matter if A and E ate from the tree of life before the fall because they had immortality anyway, but it would once the had fallen, after all they were allowed to eat any tree except for one

Each cell in every living thing has the information to reproduce any other part of the organism, making longer teeth or changing dietry habits can be done by rearranging the genetic 'operating system' (if you know how - clue; God wrote the code)

Yeah! *Prince charles* is right!
of course !

DJC old chap youre begining to sound like one of those evolutionist fellows one hears so much of these days !

yet i m sure by your excellent doctrine that this cannot be the case ?

you are a six day creationist ? im sorry to ask as im sure you must be

so the question can be framed this way

does the bible teach that all creatures were vege before the fall ? i believe it does.

but you disagree - based upon the creatures that live now you cant see how they could ever have been vege ? I think im right in following your argument pls correct me if im wrong

after the fall death entered the world and creatures became a mixture of meat eating and vege.

im willing to consider the possibility that aquatic life may have been carniverous before the fall becasue it does not 'have the breath of life' but what about amphibians or the whale family which are mammals and do - so i think that marine life was vege and sharks were like the megamouth eating krill and suchlike - could the megamouth shark speciate to your great white ? or the fierce looking fossils ? yes since the megamouth has rows of shark teeth. Or how about new species as a result of the fall ?

I beleive the Bible teaches it is man made problem and God will destroy all the earth.
nevertheless Jeff, there is no objective proof that this is the case 'evidence' can be interpreted any way one likes

we do have good evidence that the earts climate is a 'second order system' google images for this. with the initial catastrophe - the flood and the climate steadily stabilising since, with the fluctuations becoming more minor one thousand years ago the climate was much hotter than today we have written accounts and agricultural evidence of this

natural processes produce much more CO2 than human, volcanic eruptions for instance

thx candleit i hope you enjoy your trip to the mountains

yes its not all tea and biscuits being part of the 'firm' sometimes i think of abdicating, and some countries seem to manage without a prince but im not sure if mine can

let me see if i can answer some of your ceation questions - its good practice

im not sure by what mechanism you think that the insects would denude the earth of O2 more than say any other creatures ? O2 is produced by plants and evidence suggests much higher O2 before the flood reason being that the earth was made to be inhabhited therefore it would have been mostly land and fertile at that not like today where it is mostly sea

plant life does not qualify as life in the Genesis sense be4cause it does not have the breath of life in it, plus the plants were given as food so they arent intended to live forever.

perhaps salmon would swim upstream and spawn and not die ?

a reptile today - like the vege dinosaurs wil keep on growing as long as it lives and have enough food so i conclude that because some dinosaurs were large that they were long lived for many hundreds of years - like men.

btw most dinosaurs were not large,

Hey you doin great! You know far more than I do about creation and its environs. BTW Did you see my post about Spurgeon and McCheyne Bible calendar? What a resource!
ni i havent john, ive checked past posts on this thread and cant find the link but i know you mentioned it can you post it again ? ive no shortage of inspiration for study at the moment tho. sorry you got a haddock, we were up late as i was mentally exhausted from the horrible business of painting the sitting room but it was duly done, we are hoping to sell the house this year as we would like to move closer to bangor so we have been painting etc

id be suprised if you didnt get a place at the market with you giving tracts and such - i had an idea yesterday - dunno if its a good one or not, now this is just concepts time dont get worried ! how would it be if we arranged a gospel / creationist show down your way, we could man your stall and hand out leaflets at the market during the day and that evening could give the show at some rented venue, ill take care of the money side of things if you could think it over and if you liked the idea think about a suitable venue

Very interesting post Charles, of course you've looked into this as part of your creation lectures.
Thanks john, well im a jack of all trades master of none but that doesnt stop me thinking of myself as an expert theologian and a creationist !! ha ha - not bad progress for 2.5 yrs or so tho eh ?

If you are part of the royal family i often find that one is expected to be an expert on pretty much anything so you can imagine it can get potentialy embarrassing at times, like my visit to the hoover factory i mentioned - what would my subjects and ladies at that have thought if they had known that i had never seen or used one of these 'hoovers' which they were so proud of ?

Its very important on these occasions to be confident and appear to know all about the subject in hand and often people will help you unwittingly by assuming that you kbow more than you do, for instance on that occasion i began 'sweeping' the factory floor with said hoover but they thought i was testing the wheels to see if they would come off sideways !

wot you doing today - of to market ?

Mark M,

The Fed. Gov. and its 90% of the GDP bailout leaves a looming disaster.
this is the end of the petrodollar, best case scenario for the dollar (and the US) is first amongst equals, worse case is worthless money. I know a few shipowners who stoppped using the dollar two years ago and went over to the euro as the dollar was to unstable and some business associates liquidated their dollar acoounts 12 months ago and wont use it. we all know what happens when there isnt a clear dominant power - check europe 100 yrs ago

The american people are no longer ideologically disposed for the protection of israel even tho militarily they can do it but if you arent really interested then it makes no difference how militarily powerful a nation is.

If israels security is threatend by a major power american indifference will be shown to the world, perhaps shortly,

Its no use blaming Obama, the USA people elected him so that means that the average american neither knows nor cares what the Bible says, and laughs at the God of the bible and His people - Judgement soon ?

they started chomping on each other -- robins started eating worms instead of dandelions; owls started swooping down on field mice instead of chomping on a stalk of celery; lions started stalking wildebeest instead of broccoli.
There was no death in the garden DJC therefore all creatures which had the breath of life in them had to be veggie apart from which the bible explicitly states that they should have veg for their 'meat'

now it may appear inconsistent to you for instance that a cheetah should be at one time a veggie since it can run so fast, but remember it cant run fast for very long, it is not designed to be a runner, it can catch only easy prey and is soon exhausted.

many peculiar features of the animal world can be explained by loss of genetic information (or the fall) long teeth are caused by loss of information to stop growing, mosquitos
seek a chemical in your blood which they could get from flowers
Pandas have huge teeth but eat only bamboo shoots, bears are herbivores if they can access veg they prefer it.

evolutionary paleontologists often say animals are meat eaters based upon the teeth - this is pure supposition

As for sharks, there is the vege shark which filters plankton and krill

The forums gone a bit quiet hasnt it ? not much heat at the moment....

"Charles," much State autonomy over the years has been subverted by Federal funds offered with strings attached, such as have attended the recent stimulus package. It takes much political nerve to turn down "free" money like that, since most voters seem to side with the candidate who promises them more of other people's money for assorted local public projects.
Pursuant to the previous post, I have seen several cases where church constitutions were willfully ignored by both pastors & congregations when there was a perceived benefit in doing so. If not even Christians will heed their covenants, why should we expect unbelievers to do better?
thx neil

that reminds me of the saying all democracies devolve into totalitarianism but i cant remember who said it

anyway it seems then that states could have more autonomy but choose not to or at least chosse not to be biblical

it would be fascinating to see a biblical politician buck the trend

Any person of God that lives better than their lowest flock member is a fake.
so if the pastor has a good day job adn runs the church as well then he is a hypocrite whereas the lowest of the flock is ok even tho the reson they are poor could be their own fault ? Maybe they are poor because they are lazy or disobedient to their employesr ? or to 'good ' to work and think they should have a better job ?

If someone is living in one of the worlds richest nations like US or UK and does not have anything then in my experience its almost always their fault, there are exceptions i know but very few

folks say that Christ has done nothing for those who are not saved.
By man (Adam) came death.
By Man (Jesus) came resurrection.
Both are true.
yes but i think the damned would rather not be ressurected ?

interesting about the universal ressurection tho, i hadnt really thought it thru in terms of the compact

the creation is something i think every day about its my worldview so to speak, all my basic doctrine comes from that

i spoke to a man today that was ill, and he told me that he thought he was going to die for a brief period so i broached the gospel and sais i believed what the bible said and we were going to die and face judgenment - and spoke about Jesus sparing us from that and i said i would offer a prayer for his healing - hope i planted a seed ? its very sad if only people would cast aside their 'wisdom' and pursue the truth of God the creator and redeemer

CL sounds nice, ive tried home exchange organisations before but nothing came thru and greece is only 3 hrs and america is 8 hrs plus a big drive but the attractions for me where staying in a house in a community and experiencing a diffrent culture but where they speak english ! (sort of )

yes i understand you dont get much holiday in america, well i would love to take you up on your offer circumstances permitting, we likewise would be exited here in sleepy anglesey to entertain your good selves in the summer months there is plenty to do and you would all certainly be a novelty and would be talked about for years afterwards !

I was really after DJC's condo and pool in florida, it having the prerequisite sunshine sea and other entertainments i used to go to jacksonville Fla when i was at sea also but that was 30 yrs ago - i fear the promise of damp climate and ancient stonework of my humble dwelling was insufficient temptation for him !
