save my eyes wrote: There should be some sort of rule against posting in ALL CAPS There is, i cant post all caps, i dont know why this guy can, they are well tedious posts. maybe he is a moderator or something, try posting all caps and see what happens, i dont know why he is allowed to post they are nothing to do with the news item ? If nobody replies to his posts then he cant do it anymore - maybe that is the plan ? to shut down the forum. he is definitely a nutter having a joke at everyones expense ]]TLC IF NO ONE REPLIES TO TLC POSTS AND HE STILL POSTS THEN YOU WILL KNOW HE IS A NUTTER FOR SURE BUT I CAN TELL YOU NOW HE IS, THE ABOVE PHOTO IS 100% GENUINE IT WAS TAKEN YESTERDAY MORNING BEFORE BREAKFAST |

thx for the links johnso, A hyper-Calvinist is someone who either: Denies that the gospel call applies to all who hear, OR Denies that faith is the duty of every sinner, OR Denies that the gospel makes any "offer" of Christ, salvation, or mercy to the non-elect (or denies that the offer of divine mercy is free and universal), OR Denies that there is such a thing as "common grace," OR Denies that God has any sort of love for the non-elect. ive never met a calvinist that has these views this surely must represent a sliver of believers whereas in my own experience i have met many believers who are arminists and are in gross error Thus i conclude that the term hyperman, whilst the genre can be defined are a rare bird and the term is in practice employed as a pejorative to label calvinists whereas many believers today are mired in arminist heresy today to their detriment. The two do not in practice are not equivalent because one is seldom found whereas the other is often found |

John UK wrote: There is only one who turns my stomach here on forums, and that one is called hyperman, whatever moniker he decides to use. I think you are being to generous to our arminist brethren john, they cannot make a good case from scripture just becasue they can make a case. Also the most hypercalvinist is not as soul sappingly discouraging and disabling as your average arminist If I dint believe i was one of the elect my spiritual walk would be even harder than it is already (at times) Most heresys and all false conversions are the result of arminist thinking Dont even flirt with it, it does not deserve to be treated generously in case it bites ! did God really say ! |

DJC49 wrote: This "hymn" is a Charles Wesley creation: Wow great hymn DJC dont know where you found it that says it all and i must say does seem to answer the weslyan critics who wish to impugn his calvinism, that looks pretty hard core to me |

John UK wrote: Yes indeedy, and did you know this: that when a Church of England minister was ordained, he had to make certain vows, one of which was a promise to get out into the world, and find Jesus lost sheep, and bring them home. Thats amazing john, very encouraging, i came to this view, conviction indeed quite independently, i never read it in any book i just realised it after struggling with the idea of election and sovreignty for quite a while as it went against all my natural thinking but once i had grasped it it became very important to me and it colors my whole attitude to the mystery of evangelism, i live in hope of meeting the lost sheep, those who are ordained by God, the Names given to our Lord Jesus. This is what it is all about to me - will God honour me by sending them to me ? |
