Dr Frank Logsdon continued:

"....So here we have the stream of manuscripts and the stream of Greek texts coming down through the "custodial care" of Rome. And if it's in the custodial care of Rome, I don't want anything to do with it.

I've come to this place now: I can't stand toe to toe with the scholars, with those who have delved into the manuscripts and the textual criticism for years and years. I've had too many other things to do. And you haven't been able to, either. So what do you do? I don't argue with them anymore. I'm not going to argue with any of them. I'm just going to ask, on what manuscript or manuscripts is this version based? And if it's based upon a manuscript that came down through this Roman stream, I don't want anything to do with it."

Dr Frank Logsdon said,

"There are two copies of those Bibles in existence (viz those produced by Eusebius the historian and disciple of the heretic Origen), A and B. The Codex Sinaiticus and the Codex Vaticanus. And where are they? They are in the custodial care of Rome. Now almost all of our revisions, of recent years in particular, come through that stream. And that necessitates this comment: There is the false and the true streams of manuscripts. And either our manuscripts come through the false stream or the correct one, or the approved stream or manuscripts.

When people speak of the oldest manuscripts, they usually mean the A and the B. the Codex Sinaiticus and the Codex Vaticanus. But nobody has seen either one of those for 500 years. They've been under lock and key in Rome. And the only copies we have are the copies that Rome decided to give to the outside world, and I don't trust them one inch. Never, never, never! And I'll tell you why in just a moment.

None of our scholars today have seen either the A or the B. unless they've seen just a page or two through a glass case. But that's not enough to get the feel of the whole thing, just to see a page that is open at one place.

BG says, "I found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Catholics. We only differ on some matters of later church tradition. I find that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Roman Catholics" (1/78, McCall's Magazine).

Jer.17: 5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

"It must be stated explicitly that while not all Jews are Zionists, not all Zionists are Jews. … From the beginning of the Zionist movement, some of the most articulate and fervent Zionists have been Christian clergymen, especially "fundamentalists," who hail Zionism as an important "religious" movement and welcome it as a fulfillment of prophecy. They also, and significantly, serve the cause of Zionism." (excerpt from “The Difference Between Judaism and Zionism”

Correction of type error and one word, made in my preigious quote; it being God's word, I misquoted I thought it necessary.

"Jesus saith uno her touch me not; as I am not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father and thy Father, and to my God and your God." John 20:17

Our Father, is related to the above command of Christ. It was given to his disciples in answer to their request, 'Lord teach us to pray.' It is a pattern for our prayers primarily, yet if prayed with the understanding, it can be quoted on appropriate occasion. Like all God breathed Scripture, it is rich with substance (bread for spiritual life) for all God's children, we know if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Clearly this is a Christ-centered prayer. He through the apostle commands all men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer to the Father, through the Son, by the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit. Disestablishmentarianism is contrary to the truth of Scripture. This article only distracts from the primary issue to further darken the minds of the unbelieving or divert them from the
truth of the Word.

"Benedict kept his focus on the West emphasizing places were the Church's historic strength is fading (or Rome's former strongholds) and he has called for a "new evangelism"....Dolan said, It is as if the pope is putting the red hat on the top of the Empire State Building or statue of liberty, or home plate
at Yankee Stadium, or etc, etc"

In the south this "new evangelism" looked something like this: the GOP comes in and buys up fading papal and christian 'so-called' institutions. Tweeks them, offering advanced technology and jobs. Everyones happy right? If money & tech is your god. But not so much if Jesus Christ is, for you see you needed to sign a paper that strongly encouraged you to vote for your employer in the next election and if conscience forbade signing the line you'd lose everything...EXCEPT a conscience void of offense to God. Choose ye. If NY State is any indication, Mr. Obama's not going anyhere in the popes best interest, and the popular vote means nothing. A job and tech is your god, if you can't see the hand writting on the wall.

excerpt from Dr. Thomas Holland's Crowned With Glory

"The question arises as to why this passage was ever omitted. We find the answer in church history. Augustine makes an astounding statement concerning the authenticity of the passage. After citing the forgiving phrase of Christ, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more,"
Augustine writes:

"This proceeding, however, shocks the minds of some weak believers, or rather unbelievers and enemies of the Christian faith: inasmuch that, after (I suppose) of its giving their wives impunity of sinning, they struck out from their copies of the Gospel this that our Lord did in pardoning the woman taken in adultery: as if He granted leave of sinning, Who said, Go and sin no more!" (St. Augustine, De Conjug. Adult., II:6.)

"Augustine implies some fearful scribes who thought the inclusion might lead to adultery omitted this passage. This argument not only seems logical, but also consistent with human nature. It is, at least, as good as modern scholarship's view that the passage was added as a piece of oral tradition apart from inspiration." (Metzger, A Textual Commentary On The Greek New Testament, 188.)

I find that NOWHERE in the Old Testament is there a prophecy concerning the Messiah coming out of Nazareth or a prophecy that He will be called a Nazarene.
I think the O.T. prophecy was of the Messiah coming out of Galilee and Nazareth was is in Galilee. ( not sure)

...notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the PARTS OF GALILEE: And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
(Mat 2:22-23)

Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, SHALL CHRIST COME OUT OF GALILEE? Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
(Joh 7:40-42)

(Joh 7:52) They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: FOR OUT OF GALILEE ARISETH NO PROPHET.

“…Had those who gave it made the inquiry which the case demanded, they would have found that Jesus “came out of Galilee” (Joh_7:41) and “out of Bethlehem” both, alike in fulfillment of prophecy as in point of fact. (Mat_2:23; Mat_4:13-16).” JFB

Do you really think Yamil was attempting to cloak his identity if you so easily knew who it was doing those things? Do you think he was an idiot?
Only Yamil can answer that!

You wrote, "Now, please tell me who tug of war and all his other monikers is, and if you cannot, tell me how it is the same thing?"

At least tug of war doesn't steal other peoples monikers and say things they didn't say! And who are you to judge whether tug of war is either a new person or one person with several monikers.

Why did you mislead DOT?
You called all calvinists hereticks and cultish, you were not just speaking of hyper-calvinists because if you were you would have made that distinction.

Btw JD & Mike I never read of you rebuking Yamil for stealing other peoples monikers and making them say things they didn’t say! Nor for his multiple monikers!

DOT wrote “Having said all of that, maybe this was all about yourselves, and laypeople, such as myself, become the object of the inside joke.”

I too am a layperson and I think most on here are. There is no inside joke or conspiracy going on.

This week was my first time on a forum survey with Sermonaudio. It has taken me four days to realize there are some who do not take this seriously... After my last few exchanges with "quote," I realize that that person says nothing of substance, but uses the words of a poster to frame a question just to keep the posts going.
That is a false accusation as I take the matter of God’s Word very seriously. I may not say anything of substance but I try!

My questions are not to keep the posts going but to try and understand what one is stating or to try and get someone to think about something but NEVER for the motive you have given me!
That is another false accusation!

I didn't realize that you don't like being asked questions.

btw Truth and Love go together. Love without Truth is a Lie!

I've read His Word through and through over 40 years and He never referred to Himself as a Calvinist.
Did I say He did?

You wrote, "He did say that He is "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY" 3 times over in Isaiah. So, if He emphasizes His Holiness, maybe we should talk about His Holiness as a doctrine"

That is one doctrine (teaching) you hardly ever hear preached from the pulpit today!

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
