Rom 5:1 Rom 5:9…one in the same The blood of Christ is also a figure of faith, a feminine noun.... a possession. We do not “put our faith in Christ” as so many seem to believe. He puts His faith in us by means of the HS (feminine gender) to enable (1Tim 1:14, Gal2:20) us to believe to the saving of our souls. Faith is not the human ability to reason and make informed decisions. Faith enables the possessor thereof to love God (Deut 6:5) which is the righteousness of the Zion covenant. Indeed, faith is righteousness because it is the blood of Christ.
Can’t lose salvation Some Christians think you can lose your salvation. It follows, then that they believe they have to do something to keep their salvation.
The Father gave the Son a commission:
John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
Here's what Jude had to say:
Jude 1:24-15 Now unto ^HIM THAT IS ABLE* to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
The Son is charged with the job of preserving that which belonged to the Father and was given to the Son to redeem in time. Jude says He is able.
Put it to the test The city spoken in the Rev is identified in Isaiah chapter 1:21.
Regarding Matt 24,
Amos 9:8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth;
I don't think there's any debate on who the sinful kingdom is.
James cited here in Acts 15 the Amos 9:10 being an event that was fulfilled. A done deal.....And most certainly occurring before 70 AD.
Acts 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Acts 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
While I admit that most Christians do say 70 AD, the bible teaches it occurred when disciples were given the new name (Isa 62:2).... when disciples were first called Christians (Acts 11:26)...When Paul cited Isa 49:6 as being spoken about himself in Acts 13:47.....
when Matt. 21:43 was fulfilled.
