We need a priest - a very special Priest! Why do we need a priest? We need a priest because we are sinners under condemnation and God's wrath (Rom 1:18)
How can we approach GOD without a priest? We can't because our GOD is a consuming fire (Heb 12:29)
"Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity..." (Hab 1:13a)
What is a priest? A man sent to GOD on behalf of men
1. He is man's representative before GOD (Heb 2:17)
2. He offers both gifts and sacrifices for sins (Heb 5:1)
3. He intercedes and prays for us (Heb 7:25)
"...And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous" (1 John 2:1b)
Westminster Shorter Catechism
Q. 25. How does Christ execute the office of a priest?
A. Christ executes the office of a priest, in his once offering up of Himself a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice, and reconcile us to God, and in making continual intercession for us
I'm blessed by the earnest Bible teaching from Knightswood FCS(C)
Great Sermon! Thank you. Teaching these verses today. Your sermon was an encouragement as I finish preparing.
God's plans and purposes will not be thwarted.
Great Sermon! A sweet and comforting message to sooth the soul and bring us into the Lords peace and plenty. Thank you dear brother for such a simple but moving sermon. May God give you peace and make you to lie down in green pastures.
Great Sermon! I loved this sermon so much and was so blessed by it. I have yet to attend a church that will touch the topic of election. Even though I know my pastor believes in it he has never preached on it, yet anyway. It is indeed a humbling doctrine and brings me to tears to think that God chose me when he had no obligation to. Thank you for preaching this precious truth
Christ is Everywhere in the Scriptures Heard this sermon live and have also downloaded it. An excellent help to Christians to read the scriptures in a Christ-centred manner. Scripture not being used to provide politics with some moral underpinning - but to advance the gospel of the risen Saviour.
Popular uprisings and demonstrations are not a thing unique to our own day.
Great Reminder! In this sermon Reverend Macleod makes mention of a previous sermon of Psalm 50:15 which is also worth hearing! It would be highly profitable to listen to it after hearing this general exposition of the whole Psalm.

Encouraged to Go Very useful introduction examining the textual background of these verses. Showing the overwhelming support for inclusion in the text. Preservation of scripture maintained.
Then comes the powerful examination of the eyewitness accounts and the role of signs and works to testify to the truth. Who can deny it? Who can ignore the call of the Gospel?
The Risen Saviour is risen indeed. Let's go and tell the good new.
Brilliant Sermon on Baptism Excellent look at who should be baptised, dealing not only with common misunderstandings regarding the New Testament accounts of baptism but also providing a systematic overview of the relation of children to God in covenants.
Great Sermon! My children having slept in last week-this was a most sobering gospel sermon. It is a great encouragement to hear the Christ exalting preaching and gospel witness of the Free Church Continuing-may the Lord bless your work to His Glory. Thank you.
