Precious salvation. There is nothing more precious than the blood of my Lord Jesus Christ, shed for me. Without it, I know today I should be in hell. What a grace! What a love! What a sacrifice!
Great blessing. This message touched my heart today. I see again that a message which touches not the heart of the preacher cannot touch the heart of the hearers. But the message from God which touches the heart of the preacher will touch the hearts of hearers.
Great Sermon! "...repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:15) Perhaps you think that you can repent of your sins and believe on Christ for salvation at any time you choose, and in your own strength. But can the blind see and the lame walk? Neither can you believe the Gospel unless the Lord Jesus heals your spiritual blindness and impotency. Come to Him for the spiritual healing which only He can give, and you will find Him to be the Great Physician of your soul, and your only Saviour.
Great Sermon! Do you ever wonder how you can know that you know Christ? Christ's disciples also experienced doubt and uncertainty, yet the Lord has revealed in Scripture the ways in which He manifests Himself to His people. An instructive and encouraging sermon!
Listen to this! I listened to this wonderful message on the love of God with much blessing! I'm grateful for the fervent Bible preaching of Pastor Macleod. Here's a small sample... "How does Daniel get this name 'O man greatly beloved'? Is this not a name that all of us have that are true Christians? We're all greatly beloved. How amazing is God's love for us. God's love for us is infinite - you cannot measure it. God's love for us is so great that He sent His own Son to die for you and for me! And the love of the Son of God is so great that He laid down His life for us! Where can you get greater love than that? 'But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us' (Romans 5:8). O man greatly beloved! O woman greatly beloved! God's amazing love for you - it never had a beginning and will never have an end - it's always the same - always faithful and true." Amen!
How wonderful the Lord is to us! "The fourth vision of Zechariah the prophet is that of Joshua the high priest standing before the Lord in filthy garments and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. A very different vision but an encouraging one as well - very encouraging! For the servants of the Lord it's encouraging but for all the Lord's people - for every one of us are clothed in filthy garments are we not? We're all filthy sinners and we all deserve to be accused by Satan and condemned and cast into hell but we're clothed with new white robes. How wonderful the Lord is to us! Taking away our filthy garments and giving us beautiful white robes. Who are these arrayed in white raiment? These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:14)"
What about eternity? The work of the Mediator goes on in eternity! (1) His work as a Prophet goes on - teaching His people forever - leading them to living fountains of water. More and more we are being led into the Truth and being taught by the Great Prophet Christ! (2) Christ's Kingship goes on as He is the Head of His people forever. (3) Our continuance in heaven is dependent upon His Priestly intercession for us - Christ ever lives to make intercession for us
The Mediator in the Garden of Eden! "What was the first act of the Mediator? It was to come into the garden immediately after man's sin and to search for Adam. Not to leave Adam to die and perish but to come into the garden and to ask him... 'where art thou'? In Genesis 3, footsteps were heard in the garden in the cool of the day. Whose footsteps? The Angel of the Covenant-- God taking on human form in the Old Testament. The Angel of the Covenant intercedes. Adam is not immediately cast into hell. Spiritual death occurs but not physical death or eternal death. Physical death begins but the Mediator is there stepping into the breach and He says the seed of the woman shall bruise the serpent's head. I will crush Satan's head and there He is acting as the priest. A few verses later He's taking animals and killing these animals and taking their skins and clothing Adam and Eve. The Great Priest Himself showed them through sacrifices to look forward to the great sacrifice of Christ Himself!"
