Asaph was in a bad place—he was fretful and fearful, which he traces to his envy, his adversity, and his folly. He found a good place: "it is good for me to draw near to God." He came into God's presence, quieted his soul and recalibrated his spirit. He left that good place restored and refreshed, trusting and serving the God of grace.
