Theme: People should not take the mercies of God for granted. In vv. 11-14, Jesus heals ten lepers. In this story, we see God's great mercy, and we need to personally recognize God's mercies to us. What do we do with this mercy? In vv. 15-16, we see that only one leper was grateful. In application, we need to give thanks to God often. In vv. 17-19, Jesus pronounces that the leper is saved. The leper realized that the mercy of God was a chance for him to truly embrace the Savior. We need to be certain that we possess God's saving mercy. Have you taken the mercies of God for granted? Or have you allowed the mercies of God to lead you to the saving mercy of Christ? Let us give thanks for His great mercy to us!
