Theme: As followers of Christ, we should view ourselves and give our lives as humble servants of Christ (nothing more, nothing less). Jesus gives an analogy of a master and servant and teaches His disciples to remember their position. God is our Master, and we are His servants. We need to be faithful to perform our duty before Him. He gives us gifts to serve Him, and we are to be faithful and do His bidding completely, as we solely follow Christ. In serving Christ like this, we must not become prideful, but maintain a humble attitude. Let us have our eyes on the task, obedient in every way, but remembering that we merit nothing by obeying. It's all of His grace, and we serve our Master because He loves us and we love Him.
