That's the attraction of mysticism, the third classic error that Paul confronted in his letter to the Colossians. It's right to want to be filled with the Spirit and to walk close to God, but does mysticism, the exaltation of subjective personal experience over objective biblical teaching, really bring us closer to Christ? Or does it cause us to lose connection with our Head?
