Very encouraging! A lot of times, even as believers, we feel as if God has distanced Himself from us because of our current failures and many sins. We feel unclean and unworthy and we know from experience that we sin daily and even our best efforts come far short of what we think will please God.
Isaiah 59:1, 2 "Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
The above is how we often feel, but the LORD is not speaking to believers here. See the verse below also:
Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."
Note the "for mine own sake." I suggest that anyone who confesses and believes in Christ and yet feels like God won't hear their prayers listen to this sermon carefully. Don't believe the devil - we HAVE access to God already and at any time. Access to Him was purchased already by Jesus Christ.
I thank God that He put this message on brother Corey's heart to preach, and also that my wife and I were present when he did. We needed it...
Great Sermon! Oh dear brother, what wonderful two sermons particularly this second one so powerful and instructive. Brian, God has graced you with one of the finest gifts of communicating His Word to us. In the midst of being stricken to the core at your diagnosis and then heavy duty surgery, I was frequently before His throne (tho probably selfishly), pleading, "My Lord and my God, please don't take Brian away from Ariel and away from us, and don't let Your gifting in him be diminished at all." I give glory to God in Christ Jesus in the highest in great gratitude.
On to downloading Bro. Conrad's messages to listen to tonight.
Great Sermon! You have shared such practical wisdom on how to love others as God has loved us through His Son and to simply pray for the Holy Spirit to help us with forgivness of any offenses,to be lomg-suffering and to bless others, giving all tbe glory to The Most High, not seeking for ourselves, which is surely the way of this workd and of all sin. May God richly bless your ministry, bringing light to the dark. You are a good and faithful servant, Pastor Corey 3
Great Sermon! outstanding...have been looking for just the right message to dying relative who is overwhelmed, but i also got a lot out of your insightful and well prepared sermon.. may God bless you for this....
Great Sermon! Phil does an excellent job having us examine our heart and to cleanse it and fill it with Godly thoughts. We are and we do what fills our heart, and he gives good principles to follow in dealing with an unclean heart.
Great Sermon! Very powerful sermon, but the pastor needs to wear a lavalier microphone, because at times his volume became so overbearing I had to take my headphones off because I couldn't lower the volume in time.
Great Sermon! I truly loved your sermon. I heard your heart beat in your words. To be so broken in the hands of the Master, it is not a small achievment. I am a misssionary in Nigeria. You have refeshed my soul. God bless you, your family and church,
In Christ alone
Great Sermon! Standing for the true gospel! One way to heaven, through Christ only. May God always be glorified in the preaching of the gospel. Let us all keep strong in our stand of the gospel and may we all stay strong in our faith.
