Quit handing your most precious possessions over to the government to educate and indoctrinate and you will not have that issue. because of mandates to have children in school, some single moms have to put their kids in government schools. Others have reasons that go beyond your simple solution. It's a great idea it just isn't always practical. |

Precisely my point. If the pastor is an just another elder in the church, why does he have a specific title and function separate from the other elders?
There is no separate office of pastor. The title comes from the Word of God, you will have to take it up with Him. The word is otherwise translated sheperd which designates a leader. Passages that speak to bishops, elders, sheperds, all apply to the pastor. |

This is not establishing the office of pastor, but simply referring to a shepard. that office simply refers to a position and you are merely parsing words. Pastor, shepherd, undersheperd, elder. bishop are terms for leaders in the church and they are sanctioned by Scripture. |

Remember how John MacArthur used to sell tapes and then make it all free? Would not this idea be great for homeschooling? Some free home school stuff, could make this transition easier and even popular. there is no such thing as "free" home school stuff. Somebody has to pay for it. |
