To the poster named God Loves Everybody,
Before you enter another post please review the Forum Policies in the Add New or Reply to comment window.
SermonAudio is an open forum so disagreement is not unusual but it is also a Christian forum and we expect all our poster to conduct themselves accordingly with regard for the policies.

Thanks for taking the bait. But I must say, your untruth has just been taken to the woodshed.
These are the reasons this same post has been deleted three times. It is comments like these which elicit responses such as "Big Daddy", "Daddio" and "Out to the woodshed with you!" from other users who normally do not post such remarks. This is not civil discourse and if it continues the survey will be closed.
Will you please just leave out the quips and one-liners which serve no purpose but to irritate your opposition. The balance of your posts are well written and it is a shame to remove good posts for reasons such as these.
son of Oak wrote: Moderator Alpha, No, apparently it's up to you. I answered Phil honestly and respectfully and you still removed the post. This can't be just about my so called abusive language? Just remove this post if you agree.
Which honest and respectful answer are you referring to? His need of a licensed psychiatrist or a bible with small words. (I will overlook (this once) your implication that your posts were removed for any reason other than infractions of the reasonable forum policies.)
The tenor of your recent posts is appropriate for the subject matter and if you continue with this level of civil discourse we'll get along.
son of Oak wrote: And because someone keeps removing the posts. I must be hitting some kind of nerve.
I case you didn't realize it SermonAudio is a moderated forum with policies for posting. As long as you continue to insult other users in complete disregard for the policies your posts will be removed. Clean up your abusive language and all will be well. It's up to you.
rogerant wrote: Keeping to the Survey Topic? I believe that there could be some interesting discussion between 2-4 point or moderate Calvinists with 5 point (Reformed) Calvinists regarding the extent of the Atonement. If asking us to stick to the survey question, what would we be the point of discussion with semi-Pelagians and Arminians. We don't agree on total depravity, irresistable grace and unconditional election. The discussion with them on the survey topic is moot.
I understand. The point of my comment (which I removed to make it general rather than specific) was not to limit discussion to "For whom did Christ die?" but to remind those commenting in this particular survey that if their discussion is going off topic to open an appropriate survey and continue the discussion there. Presently there are 89 theology surveys so finding a survey for discussing the extent of the Atonement should not be a problem.
Our goal is to maintain topical relevance across all threads (for reasons which should be self evident) so the cooperation of all users would be appreciated. If you have not done so yet please see my comment 2/22/08 2:00 PM in the "What is your opinion of SermonAudio? Suggestions, questions, comments welcome.." survey.
JD wrote: MA How about a friendly and gracious unblock of my ip? Thanks.
To my knowledge there should be no blocks on your IP address but I've asked Steven Lee to check it out to be sure. If you are still having problems posting tommorrow I'd encourage you to email Steven Lee directly for there is no reason why you can't post that I am aware of.
This news item has received 1900+ views since Tuesday. Obviously the "Black theology" of presidential candidate Barak Obama's pastor and former campaign advisor Rev. Jeremiah Wright is of great interest and concern for many SermonAudio users. For the sake of our viewers expecting to see or contribute comments relevant to the news item; let's get back on topic.
SermonAudio has graciously agreed to unlock all previously locked surveys in an effort to restore topical structure and relevance across all threads. New surveys may be submitted by plus and full members subject to SermonAudio approval.
Presently there 167 surveys available for comments (use the "Find" feature, "Surveys" and "Go" to review all surveys). While we understand that a survey may not presently exist for every conceivable topic of discussion we do ask that you be mindful of the survey topic you are commenting in and move your discussion to the most appropriate survey available if your discussion is heading off topic. Surveys that have drifted off topic will be temporarily locked, not to discourage meaningful civil discourse but, as a friendly reminder to get back on topic in an appropriate survey.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work through this endeavor.

There seems to be a problem with quoting from SermonAudio's Online Bible. I tried the same verse (John 20:17) from Blue Letter Bible and had no problem. I will report the problem to Steven Lee but in the mean time you may want to quote from a different source until the problem is resolved.
Minnow wrote: Moderator Alpha/SermonAudio Hope this proves the point. Yesterday I posted a controversial position on grace, see my post below.(This thread). And it stimulated good debate. Therefore what the "regular contributers" require on the comments board is continued stimulation. Then there is no reason to go "off topic" and stimulation concentrates the mind and you get debate and good behaviour. Bring on more surveys please.
Your point is well taken. I'll look into the possibilities over the next couple days and get back to you probably in the "What is your opinion of SermonAudio? Suggestions, questions, comments welcome.." Sticky Forum Group.
JD wrote: MA, please post a list of words that would not ordinarily be offensive that we cannot use in our comments.
I can't do that. The words of phrases which are blocked are blocked to moderators as well.
Discerning Believer & Minnow,
If your post just vanished after you pressed "Submit Comment" the most likely cause is it included a word or phrase which has been permanently blocked. For example a post quoting Hebrews 12:8 will not be accepted.
If you have any question what may be causing your posts to be rejected email an exact copy to SermonAudio and ask that the cause of rejection be identified.
