age of minority wrote:
Tradition has it that Mary gave birth to the Lord at 13. At what age is one no longer a child?
We are not told how old Mary was, we are only told that she was a virgin, so we can't speculate about her age, we are told twice in the gospel of Luke that she was "blessed among women" at 13 you are still a child, so more likely Mary could have been a young woman whose body was ready to cope with pregnancy and birth.

I am so freaking mad I call for a 50 cent solution on these sick people. I am a Christian but I have a hard time loving people who harm children. I am sorry but I don't love em in fact I hate em. I know my lord loves them but I'm not God so I guess that's why I don't.

I know exactly what you mean but God does not love everybody, it is written in Romans chaper 9 verse 13 that God loved Jacob but hated Esau, God is a God of wrath as well as a God of love and he will not let these evil acts go unpunished.

I, for the record, am an evangelical and I'm not coming around to this nonsense. Maybe we should be more concerned with spreading the Gospel and let God handle taking care of the climate.
Excellent comment and well said, I quite agree!

Obviously Thomas de Wesselow doesn't read the bible as there we are plainly told that after His resurrection the deciples saw Jesus and He spoke with them, spent time with them and anyway the cloth was not one length but as we are told in John chapter 20 verse 7 " And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself " this Turin Shroud business is all nonsense.
( d instead of b in obviously.... Sorry )

I trust that we all believe that verse of scripture.
However, it simply does not address ANY features of the global warming theory and therefore cannot be used to prove global warming to be contrary to the Bible. I hope that you can see that.

Okay, after a lot of thought I see what you mean by quoting this verse, and instead of the word hoax I should have used exaggerated for I believe Global Warming is by all the so called " experts " ( bluffers would be a better word) we find popping up every time the weather pattern changes or when we get extreme weather, I'm sure we would be surprise if we knew how many of these "experts" are employed using tax payers money to keep it going.

I am genuinely sorry to hear that.
To deliberately misapply scripture without warrant is sinful.
God is in control and hates sin, particularly hardened impenitent sin.
I would never DELIBERATELY misapply scripture, if I have forgive me, and may the Lord also forgive me, but the passage I quoted is what I believe, my hope, my trust is in the Lord.

Well it does me just fine, so I am not going to get my head in a pickle, God is in control and again it's enough for me. Tally Ho.

Yes. Please prove it.

Why do I need to prove something I have not asserted?

Agreed. Thanks Uncle Neil.
It would also have been better for Inhofe!

And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and the Lord said in His heart ,I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living as I have done. While the earth remainth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

The Lord's Word is good enough for me, is it good enough for you?

If I could prove it would you believe it? I believe we have a change in weather pattern,I believe the ice is melting but how do we know that this hasn't happened may times before since the time of the flood, we have no weather records going that far back. Now you prove Global Warming.
