"do you think this 'lyn' is the only one who opposes..(you)".

Resp: Nope. Many resist the truth.

"where did Christ state the last supper was a 'mass'?"

Resp: The Holy Spirit told us, but evidently y'all forgot!

"how in the world is the Holy Spirit, whom Christ promised would come, the birth of an apostate religion?".

Resp: Apostate religions didn't happen until the Reformation. At Pentecost, the real Church of Christ, the Catholic Church, was born.

"no scriptural support, just a twisted interpretation".

Resp: Well our interpretation is 1500 years older than yours, from the time of Christ. Your religions had to be invented by Luther, Calvin, and others (mostly renegade ex-priests).

Excuse me Sharon, while you nit pick my words to death. An "unrepentant heart" was what I assumed an actively gay person would have...or can you be sexually active, gay, and not sin? Being gay is not one of my problems, neither is asking the Lord for forgiveness and light. Go pester someone else.

Sure, when Jesus took bread and wine at the Last Supper...he said the very first Catholic Mass. When the Holy Spirit (how's that Lyn?) appeared as tongues of fire...that was the birthday of the Catholic Church. In ACTs 2:38-39, when St Peter says, "...be baptized...your sin's may be forgiven...was to YOU and YOUR CHILDREN...". Straight out of the Catholic Catechism! And there's more!

Jim, I you tended to your own "stuff", and didn't persecute JY as much, your own "stuff" might convince someone like JY to join your wack-job group of shallow Christian-wanna-be's!

Actually Jim, the Roman Church and the Greek Church were where Christianity began and flourished. But, it took the mighty Reformation to teach people that they can make their own meaning of scripture....hence the coming of the Mormon's, JW's and other Lost peoples. I sure that they appreciate the favor.

The "Seven Gifts of the H.S." are found in Isaiah 11:2-5 and are ably written about by Thomas Aquinas. We refer to the "Fruits of the Spirit" in 1 Cor 12-14. I am under the impression that if God put it in the bible, then its there for us to learn. Actually the Pope does consider the words of God, and specially those of Jesus in particular to be invoilate and beyond the power of the Church to overturn. We also believe that Holy Tradition is from God as well. The two together can not contradict each other. If they should contradict then God's word is primary, while Protestant's notions about God's word are notwithstanding.

Great Scott Jim! You mean in a Church with thousands upon thousands of monks, priests and nuns, there were actually 4 bad clergy in a little over a year? Alert the press...there's a crime wave goings on!

What I mean about your 'dishonest attitude about my(your) beliefs' is that you actually believe that you can secretly hold ideas in direct denial of Catholic Church teaching, sneak like a 'thief in the night' into Mass each week and no one, not the Pope, your local Bishop, your priest, or the people that you share the pews with, will be any the wiser. I imagine that you think that you are even fooling God. Be honest....JY...let your true beliefs agree with your practice....Or CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS OR YOUR PRACTICE. If you can't be honest before God, how can you ever hope to be honest with yourself?

What? Members of the Protestant never steal, abuse, lie? If they do, then perhaps they too are "unregenerated in their hearts".

Lyn: JY says that IHMO, the Pope is not a Christian, because JY doesn't believe that the Pope has accepted Jesus as his Lord a Savior. My question is: "How would JY know?".

I understand and believe the majority of what you said, especially that: "Only God can save!". Lest you forget, there are also the 'Gifts of the H.S.'. In all these things I trust, but don't have first hand knowledge, that the Pope is a Christian and a good Shepard of Christ...and his fruit seems better than most.

DJC49: In all sincerity, I couldn't call him a 'fellow Catholic' simply because he really exhibits a dishonest attitude about his beliefs, which reject Catholic teaching. He seems hostile to Catholic fundamental doctrine, but who knows, perhaps one day he will grow out of it.

Jim...I repeat! How does one see whether the Pope does or does not thrust in Jesus as his Savior?

One still can't look into another's heart, but one can make self-righteous accusations that say more about the lack of honesty of the speaker than he who was spoken of.

JY...is neither fish nor fowl...though I find some of his comment very foul.

Come now JY, you know that you can't know the man's heart, or have you so sold out to the bible-beaters of SA that you will pretend that you can?
