Of course not! The Father was inviting them to worship Him through the mediator Jesus Christ, not the Priestly mediation of the pagans, Catholics and of Judaism.
Now we worship God in Spirit and truth.
Seems the temple is the allegory and God's presence with His called out remnant people the greater spiritual reality! I surely do not want to testify against the hope that is within me, thank you Lord for what you've done for us. We believers, the washed saints, are the temple. His dwelling is with man. He tabernacles with us. He is our dwelling place. |
