Obviously it was a case of the woman infringed upon his pride by getting out of the car and asking for the tape, and by answering back.

So he decided he was going to basically abuse his authority and show that woman he's not about to be challenged by her.

Definitely a power thing.

No man in his right mind would of seen the woman asking for the video tape as a hazard or someone about to do a criminal offense.

“ Amazing Sermon! Listen! ”
Great explanation of the cross which addressed one of the often overlooked details of the cross. When Christ took the wrath of almighty God in our place in the hours of darkness. Praise God !

Thank you, Icon O'Clast and others, for plainly speaking the truth regarding this matter.

Under the New Covenant (which is an everlasting covenant), there is but one Israel -- the Israel of God, Galatians 6:16.

The root of the problem is the 501(c)(3) status, together with legal incorporation of the local assembly. Neither of these characterized local assemblies in the apostolic era.

Contributions made to an entity which enjoys the 501(c)(3) status are tax-deductible. Many Christians stubbornly refuse to contribute unless the contribution is tax-deductible. Also, the 501(c)(3) status may provide exemption from property taxation.

In exchange for 501(c)(3) status, Caesar demands the right to edit that which is taught from the pulpit.

It is well-documented in the press outside the US that Bin Laden died in 2001, of kidney failure.

The Bin Laden videos are forgeries of very low quality, designed for consumption by the naive and gullible American public.

Sermon:
Is Gambling a Sin?
Jeff Arthur
1
comment
“ A Matter Which Most Preachers Do Not Understand ”
All forms of gambling, including the lottery, are sinful, simply because they are based upon covetousness -- every participant desires to walk away with the money of the other participants. The fact that participation is voluntary does not change the fact that every participant covets that which does not belong to him. Regrettably, few of the men who today stand in the pulpits of this land understand that the fundamental sin of the gambler is covetousness.

And the fact that it fostered architectural innovation helps to vindicate its other (often horrific acts)? In addition, God is not interested in gradiose buildings supposedly used to worship Him. The New Testament states that believers are the temple of God, and that the Holy Spirit indwells them. There are no N.T. admonitions regarding the building of costly "houses of worship," but, in fact, just the opposite.

Neil: Our church did the same thing and we also had to leave because of abstinence. It was heart breaking for us and we were told that we were just carnal and weak in the faith. Don't be discouraged, keep looking up, Jesus is still the answer.

Yamil (9/15/06),
That is not sporting of you, to refer to a blog set up where Calvinists can post as much hatred as they like. Most "Calvinists," generally speaking, simply believe that the Bible teaches that God has elected some to salvation, and has left the rest to go where we ALL deserve to end up, hell. God does not have to save anyone, but in His mercy has decided to save some. We are spiritually dead (before salvation), and do not on our own seek God. He seeks us, though, and Scripture says that all that the Father gives the Son will go to Him. That is His perogative, and we have no right to yell foul. Again, He could simply let us ALL go to hell, and He'd be justified, but has decided to save some.

“ 48 minutes of pure truth ”
If this man speaks the truth, which I sincerely believe, our modern day Christian ministers are not telling us the whole truth. The problem lyes not in what is told, but what is not told. Ministers should not fear to offend their listeners when it is the truth they are speaking. The Bible says that the truth cuts like a sword. That means people will be offended to hear the truth unless God blesses it to their hearts. I wish the Lord's blessing on those ministers who labor only to the honor and glory of the Lord...and not to their own honor. Woe unto those ministers who lead their whole flock astray! Read this sermon again and again and pray that the Lord will give true insight, and that we shall not decieve ourselves for the great and never-ending eternity.
