Observer wrote: You didn't answer the question. Tells me all I need to know. I'll let you stew in your own pride and ignorance. Talk to God in prayer and study His Holy Scriptures and He will show you the things you need to know. Seek and ye shall find. Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace is not only by name; He is indeed the Prince of Peace that is able and more than capable to give the peace that this dark world, nay all the minions of pseudo science psychologists, cannot give. It's free, you don't need to pay per hour. |

John UK wrote: I can hardly believe there is someone here posting such tripe, Dan. You're a very sad man, inexperienced, and don't know what you're talking about. Tomorrow morning, you could wake up with suicidal thoughts, because they are involuntary. No-one wants to take their own life when they're feeling well. It is totally irrational and not controllable. Of course, you've never suffered a breakdown or depressive illness, so you're floundering about, giving bad advice, and hurting the people of God. Do you seriously mean to say that if a friend of yours was suffering a breakdown, you would say to him, "You are in danger of hellfire, my friend." Wow! What a great chappy you are! Are you a Catholic? When my Brother and or a Sister in Christ is going through a very difficult time, I can assure you that someone infinitely better than me, is near him or her to give the miraculous healing he/she needed the most. My God, Jesus Christ, is able to give peace to any kind of heart the world can make. Put your trust in Him alone. He is more than capable than you can think of. Once you put your trust in Him, He'll be a good Shepherd to you more than you can imagine. |

Observer wrote: I have known at least 2 very fine Christians who committed suicide. I knew them personally and I for one have absolutely no doubt that they are now with the Lord. You are one silly person raising your personal opinion over the teaching of the Bible. So when Christ said John 6:39 "....And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day...", did he forget to mention "excepting those who commit the sin of suicide"? You should be ashamed of your ignorance and stupid pride! No Sir/Mam Not Pride, but in the Holy Scriptures. Only God the Almighty can tell the condition of the heart. Don't believe the lie that the soldiers of the cross commit self destruct. They're seasoned by their great Commander Jesus Christ and they're made by the Holy Spirit. They that are born in spirit - the Spirit gives birth to spirit. |

Observer wrote: Do you know your Bible? if so, start making a biblical case instead on talking twaddle. It's simple. Committing suicide is being possessed by the devil - case - King Saul. The devil is a murderer; Christian, saved by the wonderful Grace of God, will not murder himself because the God Almighty, the Holy Spirit dwelleth in Him. |

John UK wrote: Dan, there is far more to sin than the physical act. Jesus taught that if we have hatred in our heart, we are guilty of murder. If we lust in our heart, we are guilty of adultery. If we have suicidal thoughts during depression, we are guilty of committing the act. The problem is the heart. Once the Holy Ghost convicts you of sin, and shows you your own heart (which is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked), you will never again see yourself as chief of overcomers, but chief of sinners. Ask my dear old bro, Frank. Now if you've never been allowed of God to suffer depressive thoughts, count yourself most fortunate, and take heed while you stand, for it is only God which makes you to stand. The Lord can take you right to the edge of insanity, if he sees fit. I personally know retired missionaries who are now suffering dementia. Would you say to them that they have failed to overcome? Christians are more than conquerors because Jesus Christ made them so. Christians who're totally loving God and His precepts in the power of the Person of the Holy Spirit - The Wonderful Counselor, the Almighty God. Anyone suicidal here, don't believe the lie. Better be afraid to God than be courageous in taking the life that you don't own. |

Mike wrote: Suicide is sin, yet all Christians, new creature, born by the Holy Spirit, sin. 1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Nice, but very deceptive. Suicide is being possessed by the power darkness like King Saul while Christian can never be possess by - Satan together with all his devils. So, anyone here thinking committing suicide, you'll be in hell forever! Better examine yourself if you belong to the Lord. |
