Silofolous wrote: I can't speak for this Davis, but is Kim Davis even a Christian to begin with? She attends a Oneness Pentecostal church, which is anti-Trinitarian. A Unitarian God is not my God. Which is worse; a religious person with a defective view of the trinity, but still holds Biblical truths of marriage, or Pro homosexuals with anti biblical view on nearly everything? |

Lady_Virtue wrote: That's what most people think marriage is about, also. When the fun and fulfillment stops, it's time to call the divorce attorney. Never mind what saith the Scriptures. You are so right. Parenthood and work are the same way. |

After hearing of this I e mailed the dept. This: I just read a news article in which Ky. DOJJ has ordered a Pastor to stop telling people homosexuality is a sin. I don't know if this article is true, but if it is. This is setting a bad president, that will lead to states coming into churches to do the same. Freedom of religious expressing (I'm speaking of course of non violent) is being hampered in the public arena already. Please do not add to it. And this is the response I got. "H. DJJ staff, volunteers, interns, and contractors, in the course of their work, shall not refer to juveniles by using derogatory language in a manner that conveys bias towards or hatred of the LGBTQI community. DJJ staff, volunteers, interns, and contractors shall not imply or tell LGBTQI juveniles that they are abnormal, deviant, sinful, or that they can or should change their sexual orientation or gender identity." I guess they are "Open and Inclusive" unless you are a Christian. |

Since you separate it from 'faith' is it a separate quality or ability which God provides prior to faith? Or do you Wesley guys get a magic wand issued to you along with faith? Or are we back to faith being an entirely human faculty again? Know I know who Moniker Man is. Mike wrote: Can anyone even find an ASV? Does anyone here have one? Hi Mike. If you are talking about the American standard Version of 1901, I got one several years ago from Trinity Bapt. Church in Montville New Jersey. the broadcast on this site. Check out their web site and see if their bookstore still has it. |

FG wrote: John Stott contends (and let's see if anyone can understand THIS)that man evolved from apes into something called the "homo genus" or "homo erectus" and God chose one among those, the "homo divinus", to stamp His image on. Now that's not too much of a stretch, is it? Or maybe Tim Keller, who cannot apologetically reconcile his theistic evolutionary theory with Rom 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;" so he chooses what he calls "the messy approach", whatever that is. Irrespective of where you look, the goal of theistic evolutionists is to force the scriptures to conform with their theories. Now I have to ask myself the question, why in the world is this so important to them, when the scriptures are witness to many of the supernatural acts of God. But for whatever reason, the supernatural is not allowed in creation. And the worse part about it is that this is becoming a growing trend in the church.http://images.sa-media.com/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif I'm not surprised by Keller, but I'm really disappointed to hear that about Stott. Just goes to show that people you think are solid, may have some terrible erroneous area. Special Creation affects every other doctrine. |

Personally, I couldn't care less if everyone posted their thoughts every few seconds, but that's me. I can't say I understand why anyone would be bothered in any way but will make an attempt not to be so vocal in case it does. If it makes any difference, you are one of my favorite posters. Your posts are thorough, thoughtful, and well worded. |

Frank wrote: Romans 7:21-25 was written in the present tense, so Paul was not attempting to describe some pre-salvation state. What was his position in Christ when he wrote this? All of the apostles were sinners and remained sinners but under the grace and mercy of our Lord. While all of us are to live perfect lives, none of us even come close to that and Paul simply understood that. Verse 25 is the most blessed verse concerning this issue. If he was in his unregenerate state this verse would make no sense and couldn’t be true. [21] I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. [22] For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: [23] But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. [24] O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? [25] I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (Rom 7:21-25 KJV) Thanks Frank. Our pastor just finished preaching on that text, and pointed out five things that showed this to be post conversion. |

pennnned wrote: we tend to romanticize persecution, as if its in some kind of pure form, folks, it won't be like that.... (please continue speaking the name of Christ!) what are you all going to do when the sodomites of Gomorrah show up at your door asking for your sons? and when you say "no" they call it "h@te" and call in the authorities? to think we can just sit this out and then face our moment of glory is not what's happening here. they are eliminating every border and protection that family and society (as in God ordained) has put around the youth. Thank you for your posts. As always, this on is right on target. |
