Great Sermon! One of the best sermons ever. Thank God for still having His men out there to preach the Word of God as it ought to be preached.
Glory be to our Lord Christ Jesus!
Praise God, great sermon! I also liked that the author made a really deep study on the Law of God, giving a broad perspective. The discussed Martin Lloyd Jones, Rushdooney and other authors views are also very interesting as well. Much needed subject for churches today.
I have been truly blessed by this service. I was thrilled to be able listen to John Frame's lectures on Apologetics (Reformed Theological Seminary) as well as lectures by NT Wright and Alister McGrath (Seattle Pacific) while I sat at work. I HIGHLY recommend this resource to all.
There is one important thing that we have to add to the picture when we talk about global warming. There is technology being used that actually can heat up the atmosphere, change the weather, it can even be used in warfare. This is manmade and it is not God's judgement on earth. The catasrophes caused by god will not come until the time is right during the tribulation. Global warming is not prooved by science. There is still a lot of discussions on the topic and those that oppose global warming as truth are supressed. Global warming is big business and also a tool to make people more addicted to the government because of fear and despair.
Great Sermon! Finally a pastor who cares more about the praises of God than the praises of men. Preaching the word as it should be preached, with boldness and truth. Praise the Lord for Mr. Mencarow, because many others either avoid it or dilute the meaning of Evil in Isaiah 45:7. With the exception of the King James Version, you even have the modern translations out there and surprisingly the New King James Version that replaced the word Evil for Calamity meaning God's just judgment on a nation. So now after hearing this sermon with bible in hand a person with ears to hear can finally know where Evil comes from and reject those traditional responses as, it comes from the devil or the most popular "Well you know God has made man with a free will to choose bad or good." Thank you for the message.
Since atheists are so concerned about correcting the misconception that a person has to be religious to be ethical, I propose a simple, logical (since atheists are so enamored with reason) solution. Christians will acknowledge that atheists can be moral, ethical and virtuous people if atheists will acknowledge that Christians can be reasonable, rational, and scientifically astute as well. Sound like a winning proposition? Hardly. Atheists will always insist on maintaining a rigid rational - irrational dichotomy because they believe that frees them from the necessity of offering a cogent defense of their position. If Mr. Langley wants to convince me of the superiority of the atheist position, he will need to do better than recite a list of self-congratulatory slogans (as atheists are want to do) or the same old litany of supposed refutations of Christianity. They thought they had the philosophical justification worked out with Dr. Michael Martin, but he was too much of a coward to defend his atheism in a public debate. I for one welcome the idea that atheists are willing to be more visible in promoting their faith because it makes it easier for us to expose them for the intellectual charlatans that they are.
More altruistic nonsense from people who can't even agree on what the term 'atheism' means. Does it mean 'I don't believe in God' or 'I don't believe there is a God’? Science applied to religious claims? When you dismiss a priori the existence of the supernatural of course you are going to arrive at the conclusion that religious claims are specious. Search for the truth? What truth? Can an atheist even define what truth is? Atheism affirms nothing. It stands for nothing. It is purely reactionary and is much a faith commitment as any religious commitment is. The only thing that unifies atheist is their hatred of God. 2000 years ago another arrogant person with a similar sense of self-importance had the audacity to ask "What is truth" in the presence of Him who is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. Pilate may have been ignorant of the significance of the Lord’s statement, but Mr. Atheist, you have no excuse now.
