Sermon:
The Lord's Works
Marc Monte

“ Most interesting Sermon! ”
Wondering how you could serve the Lord ? Thinking that the times are so hard and that opportunities are so limited, and therefore sinking into lethargy and despair? Well,Pastor Monte preaches from the aspect how that every Christian can take advantage of the great door ,which is always open, and being an effectial witness,in overseas missions, and at home. Thankyou again Pastor Monte for a most helpful and needful sermon, may those in your congregation be blessed in this aspect of being a believr, and for those of us who just listen via sermonaudio. Please pray for me,as i would like to do open air preaching,as one step on from displaying a placard with Bible texts on,and giving out gospel literature and speaking to lost souls. If it is His will. Thankyou for pointing out all the many adversarys. A really challenging sermon.

Lessons in Forgiveness Part 2

“ Second great Sermon! ”
Bro Phillips has a lovely way of opening the Word of God,and in this second sermon in this series includes dealing with the difference between trivial offences, and real need for forgiveness. Extremely Christ honouring, and very, very, practical, and if anyone is hurting because of continued offences against them because of somebody ,whom they have to keep forgiving, continually offends, well, this is a most helpful and needful sermon for you. This is turning out to be a real blessed series, and i look forward to hearing part three.

Hi Legrande,
thankyou for your comment to me.

1) I was fair in my comment ,from a national standpoint, and a scriptural standpoint.

2)Of course there is a decline in church and state, just like everywhere else, and of course i am a Stranger and a Pilgrim just passing through.

3) I still love this land of ours, the Lord has placed me here in His providence, and He has blessed it over the centuries, and still does to a certain extent, compared with others.

4) How about you emigrating to a non sinful country ,if you can find one,and then let us know how wonderful it is ! Preferably one where the gospel is not tolerated in any shape or form..and then see how you like it then.

5) If you are English, but are ashamed of being so...then deal with it !

Yes,England is sinful, but one can STILL read the Bible without fear of recriminations, and STILL proclaim the gospel to needy sinners without being arrested. That makes it a grand place to live,Le Grande.

Hi Gary,
just read your post ,before going back to work.

Lovely verses! Praise the Lord that we have a lovely Saviour whom we can trust, and i was just thinking again over my dinner of Him being crucified.

He shall see the travail of His soul, and be satisfied !

Hallelujah ,what a Saviour !

I dont know you,or your circumstances, but may you,and your loved ones,(assuming you are all Christians ?),be blessed with your walk with the Lord,in the light of His Word.

O Lord, have mercy upon us all.

As an Englishman,i will not stand by and put up with cheap wisecracks which may begin to appear .

Yes,it is true that Britain has lost its Great title.

However,I love this land,i am as patriotic as most Americans are for the United States.

Sin indwells every person ,in every country,on this planet.

There are bad teenagers, and bad parents ,in this land, and everywhere else !

There are also some nice, good teenagers, and some, excellent parents in this land ,and everywhere else !

The bottom line is,we all need to be born again !

What country,i ask,can cast the first stone? Certainly not South Africa !

I for one, have been able, and STILL are able,to go about the towns of my beloved country with a placard with Bible versus displayed, and witness to people, and pass on gospel literature.

Long may it be so,Christ is building His church.

O Lord,have mercy upon us.

“ Most practical Sermon! ”
It is a little while since i listened to some sermons by brother Phillips,so i was delighted to see that there is a new series on sermonaudio,on a most neglected subject-forgiveness. Like before,i was blessed by this sermon, and look forward to hearing the others. Personally i would prefer the readings were from the AV,but the subject is of the utmost importance in learning the most blessed attribute of God who forgives us in Christ, and how we should seek to encourage this to bloom in our own Christian work and witness. A lovely sermon, easy to listen to. Thankyou brother ,may you continue to be encouraged in your labours.

did you notice in the loose change vs.popular mechanics videos that the guys from P.M. made a great deal of the eyewitness (?) accounts of those who saw the airliner crash into the Pentagon, but poo-hooed the true eyewitness accounts of the firemen, etc. who heard the (demolition) explosions in the WTC ?

They cannot have it both ways !

Also, one PM guy used this as an analogy to discredit Creationists, and support Evolutionists. (video 5 )

That speaks volumes to me of the deceitfulness of those who hold to the official story.

The Bible speaks of those who are WILFULLY IGNORANT !

My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones on that day,and are undoubtedly still greiving, but are now wanting answers to serious questions.

O Lord have mercy upon us.

“ Amen and Amen ! ”
I was delighted to log in to Sermonaudio this morning and see another message from this series. I am now a member of a (Fundamental, Independant ) Baptist Church, and so learning and unlearning so much !(Yes,i have been worried whether i am being tossed around with every wind of doctrine, hence treading carefully.) I Praise the Lord ,for years i was told that Pre-mil viewpoint has its roots in Romanism, but now i know that an A-mil view does.Bless you dear brother for opening up the Word of God on these wonderful prophecies, may the Lord continue to bless and guide you in your studies, and bless your congregation, to the glory of His lovely name. Even,so,come Lord Jesus !

thankyou for letting us know about the state of things.

I have been watching videos, and reading on the internet,re 9/11 and 7/7,etc., all this week.

I am shocked and saddened.

The wickedness of mens heart knows no bounds.

No wonder we are told in Scripture to pray for those in authority,in fact prayers and supplications for all men.

You may well be right about toture and death could be just around the corner ,...that will sort out the tares from the wheat, in our comfy lifestyles !

Thankfully,His grace will be sufficient when that time comes,He has promised to be with us through the fire and the water. It could be cruel torture we face like be roasted alive in that awful bull from the times of the inquisition.

I see a lot of Christians like the rich man, faring sumptuposly every day, and like Nero fiddling while Rome burns,Christians biting and devouring one oother on these forums, whilst millions die in their sins and go to hell.

Thanks for the wake up call.

I nave did trust politicians much,i definately dont now,and hardly beleive a word any of them say .

They sure need our prayers and may Gods have mercy upon us all.

Whoso winneth souls is wise. I am off gospel tracting now. Boy ,it is SO needful !

O Lord,have mercy

“ Awesome series! ”
For years i have been involved with a system of theology (Reformed),which viewed pre-mill dispensational eschatology as actual heresy ! Never studied it myself, and decided to listen to this series ,treading very carefully ! However,it has reawakened my thinking, and brother Monte certainly explains things in a most helpful way. Perhaps i have been wrong all along on a A-mill view ?

Hello beloved saints.

Interesting comments from Michael and JD. (How are you brethren ? ) I actually agree with the last two posts,of which some will say that i am now a compromiser !

For years i was an exclusive Psalmist, and totally refused to sing hymns and spiritual songs which were composed by men/women, at any time !

I had studied the subject, and heard various sermons on that subject, and believed that to sing, for instance a Fanny Crosby hymn as worship to God was downright sinful,it was will worship, and even it was ministry by a woman which is not scriptural !

I did not even sing the hymns at my own daughters wedding,or other family weddings and funerals !(For which i regret now)

I have moved on from that, and now enjoy singing the Psalms in worship at home, hymns at church (i can sing them appreciating the words, but not neccessarily offering them as worship),and likewise decent contemporary praise and worship spiritual songs in my van when i am driving.

Yes, I can still appreciate the regulative principle in worship, but now as the Lord's freeman can enjoy ,say,Fanny Crosby's wonderful hymns...God is still on the throne, and gave that dear lady a wonderful talent, which has been a blessing to the Christian world,in spite of her disability.

Hi Abigail,
just to encourage, Naomi and myself now belong to a lovely church (Emmanuel Baptist Church ,Windlesham.Surrey,England),where we have tract distribution every fortnight, open air preaching every 6 weeks, and Naomi and myself going to town centres with the Scipture placard, and gospel literature, every week,as much as possible.

So all is not desperate,Christ is still building His church, and there are some faithful saints around who still have a burden, and a passion to witness to thos ewithout Christ, and so without hope.

May the Lord bless your own witness Ab igail.

Can you imagine those who hide their talent in the earth, facing the Lord at the judgment seat of Christ ,makes one tremble,to hide the gospel from perishing souls !

Yours lovingly in the Saviour.
Norman Smith

To Lurker ,
thankyou dearly beloved for your most kind words, they bring such a blessing to one who is so unworhty of them.

May the Lord bless you both richly this Lords day.

The church we attend is as follows, and worth a trip to the web site !
www.Emmanuel Baptist Church,Windlesham,Surrey,England.

The last time i spoke to John,it bothered me Lurker,as he does not street preach any more,he seems to want the people /Pastor of the church he now attends to get to know him better, and then THEY can SEND him out.

I wonder what has happened to the brother who was on fire for the Lord, and told me this land needs an army of open air preachers !

I have offered to travel to be with him,but he said he is only able to stand and give tracts out.

Something is wrong with John UK,Lurker,he is not the same. Worrying.

I would love to come back on the forums and make more comments, but i sadly still see venom amongst the saints...and it really concerns me.

Yours lovingly in Christ.
Norman.

p.s. My prayer life has blossomed, praise the Lord for being earnest and fervent in prayer ! It truly is a blessing !

Good gracious, i make a comment against a sermon which was a blessing, and the next thing i know is i may be straying !

A bit like certain people jumping down my throat ,or rather grabbing me by the throat when i made a comment about Wesley and Whitfield sometime ago !

And people wonder why i seldom come on here now.

Only a tongue in cheek comment Huh,dont worry !

Thankyou Lurker for your nice comments about me.

It must be a great concern having an unsaved wife....my heart breaks for you dear brother.

Love you all in Christ.

Hello dear brethren,
just saying hi to JD,Yamil and DB.

The Lord is blessing this unworthy wretch is so many undeserved ways,i have never been so happy in work and witness, and my dear wife and i have recently become members of a lovely church nearby, small, struggling, but we desire to be a help and blessing to them. The church is neither Calvinistic or Arminian, but is Biblicist...just the way it should be !

JD,you may be interested to know that i am taking a closer look at the pre mill viewpoint...the writings of Henry Morris, and the sermons of Marc Monte are very helpful. I am wondering if the reformed view that this belief system is heretical is actually so ?

Most interesting !

i still have a huge burden for the lost, but rejoice that my dear wife has been given grace to overcome her fear of street witness and comes along with me...at the moment she holds the tracts and leaflets and i walk with the placard, and the Lord gives us wonderful opportunities in town centres to witness to lost souls.

Plus i have church backing now! Its wonderful...praise the Lord.

There are some who will be in shock at what i have just written...but i love them in Christ all the same.

God bless you ,
with much love in the Saviour, from a very happy, and rejoicing ,
Norman.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Marc Monte is one of those preachers whose enthusiasm has one sitting on the edge of the seat in anticipation of what will happen next ,as he opens the scripture ! More and more i am wondering if a pre mill, dispensationlist viewpoint is actually the truth, and not a heresy as i have beleived after being in reformed circles which held to an A mill viewpoint. Thankyou brother Monte, your sermons are a blessing in my life,in helping review my beliefs and doctrinal positions...i do yearn to know what is true in this minefield of different Christian doctrines and theology !
