Student of the scriptures for is imparative that right understanding of who God is, His glory manifested in the revealed atoning work of Christ, and correct christian living are crucial to God. Read 1 tim 4:16 and 2 tim 3. The reformers were such because they were set apart as understanding this and they sought God deeply which is why they are continually refered to. It was through them God unlocked this and brought it back from being hidden in the romish system. Be very careful in how you address this monumental act of God in the church and consider it wisely for your benefit and God's exaltation.
Shane I agree with you. I understand the concern for losing america to depravity but we are sorjouners and have a job to do. Let america go, it is God's.

Right on brother, I do thinj it's sad that you have to emphatically state your position and posture. My exhortation is to others; must be a lot of caged rage if someone is so fearful to ask a question that we should be excited to LOVINGLY answer. Calvinism should premote a seed of gentleness and comfort and an assuredness in our position that we can confidently present truth and allow God to "have gain"

1 I have done investigating on driscoll. So have many others. Go to pyromaniacs, apprising, Phil Johnson, GTY and on and on. He has never repented.

2 then please read 1 timothy again.

5 when you said you were just showing only Jesus was good. You should have originally said that but you called Abraham a liar. We have proof Abraham lied but God declared him righteous and anointed him.

I am astonished and I am very sad Piper has chosen to not publically rebuke driscoll.

I haven't responded because unfortunately matt hasn't given any biblical support for driscol's antics outside the obvious matt likes mark.
Matt yoi have not brought obe defense for the facts below. You continue to present strawmen; who claimed driscol wasn't saved? Who brought an accusation? Accusation or presentation? You have not even spoken truthfully and whe I brought tbat up you ignored it. I asked about the radio show, no response. Just strawmen about how others are taking shots at driscol. No one took a shot, we brought up what he has done.
I am done at this point. There comes a point where there is no point for it would be more profitable to yell at a stop sign.

I guess why there is no investigation is the events surrounding CJ really happened......
I guess no one wants to talk about him at Strange Fire? On pyromaniacs blog they have a video recording the so called confiscation and innapropriate behavior. I didn't see anything. Hhmmm maybe they had the wrong event?
When he had the nerve to throw controvercy MacArthur's way, that did it for me.

And if I did disagree with Calvin on anything I have enough respect for him that I would seriously consider his position and how a man so blessed of God came to that position and not stand in arrogant defiance. Calvin gave his life to the study and teaching of the word of God that far surpasses anything I could hope to give to His blessed church.

Noah found favor with the Lord. God delivered him while the world perished in judgement underneath him. And you would joke that he was a redneck.
Abraham found favor in the sight of the Lord and obeyed Him and was declared righteous because of his faith and he would father a nation. And you wish to bring charges to God's annointed? He didn't care about his wife?

Think with me. God revealed Himself 3 distinct Persons, 1 God.
T.D. Jakes says 1 God, 3 modes. He refutes God's revelation of Himself! God cannot tell us about Himself? Huh? If this is open for conjecture what else has God said is open for conjecture? I am confused by your position.
I am also confused by your statement Christ died for false doctrine. I affirm my pedo friends, I do not hold their position. I do not agree with everyone's eschatological views. There is room for some error in doctrine. But the trinity is not to be trifled with. Period.
And yes he has a proven back ground of filthy language, sexual references, and college locker room humor has been called to repent by Godly men and ignored them! I am very unclear as to this position being taken regarding him not being perfect let's forgive these errors. No. Christ has called for a higher standard I shall not seek to offend Him
