1. If the believer refuses to uncover and confess that which should be brought to light, the Lord will treat you like a mule or horse who won’t come to His Master and He will use a bit and bridle to apply pain and discipline upon so that you come to Him.
2. We learn from David that it is not worth it to keep silent and refuse to acknowledge your sin.
3. Through all of this David is teaching us that: Our God is not a God who covers up sin.
4. We learn from David that during his keeping silent he was not full of joy, it was a season of darkness.
5. We learn from David that we should not commit sin in the first place.
6. We learn from David that for those who acknowledge and uncover their sin there is forgiveness in Christ.
7. We learn from David that you can be a man in whose "spirit there is no deceit".
8. We learn from David that we need to act now and not later and not put it off.
