John Yurich USA wrote: What if there is a Catholic who is Born Again by reason of having embraced Jesus as their Savior and yet they are shy and don't like the worship services of an Evangelical Protestant Church because they would be expected to fellowship and engage in interpersonal verbal communication with individuals? Would you expect them to attend an Evangelical Protestant Church anyway because you have the unscriptual notion that if one who is Born Again and does not unite with an Evangelical Protestant Church that they are not saved? Why is it that I perceive that the "shy" person you speak of is none other than ... YOURSELF? I'd be willing to wager that it is YOU who don't like to fellowship and engage in interpersonal verbal communication with individuals! Therefore, it is quite convenient for YOU to attend mass and then scoot out of there as fast as possible (as do many, if not all, of the Roman Catholics you "worship" with). To post here on SermonAudio is YOUR vicarioius and ONLY form of "fellowship." It's just a hunch I have based on MY past experience as a Roman Catholic myself. I.e., virtually NO ONE sticks around once the mass is finished. That is a fact. |

CS wrote: John Yurich's constant chittering about Luther and what he did and if he was saved or not is nothing but a straw man arguement....sure wouldn't want to base my salvation experience or testimony on what someone else believed or did....where is Holy Ghost conviction and repentance from sin and dead works(romanism) and loving and obeying Jesus Christ in any of this mans posts...plus I have never seen any scripture posted for what he believes just some rhetoric concerning Luther or some other individuals and what they believe and have told him...very fearful indeed. Exactly! |

Mike wrote: We as Christians have a God-ordained duty to give honor to whom honor is due. It isn't due the dishonorable, regardless of his job title. To clarify: We honor which one HAS by reason of rank and state of office which he holds, NOT the man HIMSELF for he may be a dishonorable man who abuses his God-given position of authority. |

Wow! NO ONE preaches/teaches the Gospel as well as Kit Culver! Set aside all the others on SermonAudio.com and listen to this (and any other sermon by Kit Culver). Personally, he makes the lights go "ON" after listening to his sermons. |

Psalms Only wrote: 1. Paul writing this 2000 years ago clearly was not referring to the uninspired hymns which are used today written in the last couple of hundred years. Paul was in fact referring to the Book of Psalms contained in the Word of God which contains Psalms, Hymns and spiritual songs. 2. Why don't you people read the article??? Quote from article:- ""People think that we've taken the wrath of God out of the hymnal," Bringle said. "That's not the case. It's all over the hymnal. The issue was the word 'satisfied.'"" So NO it isn't about "WRATH" - Remember all you "hymn singers" - Sing man's invented uninspired hymns and you are rejecting and replacing what God has ordained and included in the Bible for HIS praise. If you attend these Liberal and Arminian churches of today you will NOT hear the psalms used. They have been rejected like the rest of the Bible for mans religious inventions. It is the thin end of the wedge for eventual apostasy. Hymns and other forms of human entertainments are supplanted to replace genuine Biblical worship of the Lord. ******************Well, if you are correct then out goes "Amazing Grace" and "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" et al. No thank you! |

Michael Hranek wrote: unmonikered John UK Wales Hmmmm? You all might just want to consider this matter a bit deeper. I would highly recommend: Why I Choose to Believe the Bible by Voddie Baucham http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=530914253 OR IMHO an even better "telling" of this message on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZNXMJGYNG8 In which I believe Brother Baucham gets into the nitty gritty of what is the most important question a Christain so needs to be able to answer. **************************Thank you, Michael H! Voddie Baucham's lecture is SO excellent that EVERY Christian should listen to it over and over and over again until they have it memorized ... for the most part, verbatim! |

What, exactly does he preach? The article doesn't say. But what we DO know is that the little lad gives his messages within the "Berean SDA church of Jackson, Mississippi" which is a Seventh Day Adventist congregation. Does THAT give us a clue? |

A 'MUST LISTEN' sermon Pastor Borgman does a superlative job in clearing up Law & Grace and the place FAITH had/has in both the Old and New Testament economies. Worth listening to over and over again. |

So excellent a sermon ... Much needed for our day when more and more even we Christians are becoming isolated and separate from one another ... one of thechnology's unintended consequences. |

Great Sermon! As a bonus to expositing the righteous of God, the phrase: "from to faith to faith" found in Rom 1:17 is clearly explained. Thank you Brian for this light. |
