So there is nothing new then. It makes me wonder how any believer could ever remain in that church?

Dave, I think a better way of saying it would be the Protestant arm of Rome.

Jim you must stop fighting the last election and accept that in the Sovereign will of God you did not get what you wanted.
Your in danger of fighting against God.
Even the love of your life Mrs Clinton would have had nothing but scandal at every turn.
Its now time for believers to pray for this man, even to honour his position, we don't have to agree with him nor like him but we are to pray for him, to give him the due honour of his office and not fight and rebel against the Almighty who raised him up and will in His time bring him down.
Pls 75:5-6.

The real issue is why are faithful believers still in the Church of England. It is a contradiction of terms.

The Gospel is a very simple message. Its not complex, just hidden from the wicked. John Y gets it, and you don't (pity)
1 Corinthians 1:27   But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
Actually I fully understand the doctrine of justification by faith alone.
But the church he will not leave does not believe the gospel it adds mans good works and anathematise all who don't hold to that teaching.
Also we are to grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and saviour 2Pet 3:18. something he cannot do under false teaching and idolatrous worship.

John Y didn't violate any rules of conduct, just out debated the wicked (again)
Thanks for the laugh SteveR.
Out debated the wicked; John Y like all good Roman Catholics does not engaged in any debate but using simplistic statements ignores all scripture quoted and provides no real Biblical proof of any position he takes.
he just accuses all who disagree with him possessed of Satan.
If this passes for debate in the church of Rome there is no hope for him.

John Y your attendance at the Mass which is the very heart of Roman Catholic worship is enough to make you a partaker of these idolatries. You can't pick and chose which parts you agree with and disagree with.
Which part of the Mass do you claim to be scriptural? Its all idolatry.
One passage which calls us to attend a faithful and Biblical Church is Hebrews 10:19-26 especially :25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is (John Y); BUT EXHORTING ONE ANOTHER: AND SO MUCH THE MORE AS YE SEE THE DAY APPROACHING.
You can't obey the part in upper case if you are not assembled with other believers.
2Cor 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
If you can't see the plain teaching of scripture you are blind and not as well educated as you claim to be.

John Yurich USA wrote:
It is not required for salvation to leave the Catholic Church and unite with any other church as the Bible nowhere states that church attendance in any church including an Evangelical Protestant Church is required for salvation. The only requirement for salvation is to trust entirely in Jesus alone for salvation.
Not according to Christ himself Matt 7:21-23 people will profess faith in Christ on the day of judgment and be found wanting. obedience to Gods word is what is required.
Or is Christ wrong and John Y correct.
Your shallow easy believism which allows you to stay in an idoltrus cult; but scripture clearly teaches we are to separate and not tolerate false doctrine and practice.
Rom 16:17 2Thess 3:6 :14 Titus 3:10 2John :10. The last one goes on to say that those who show approval by bidding them God speed is a partaker of their evil.
By staying in the Catholic Church you show approval of their evil and idoltrus religion.

That is not what I meant and you know it. The other Catholic doctrines I meant that is ok to disagree with and should not result in excommunication are that the Mass is a sacrifice, Purgatory, praying to the Virgin Mary and the Saints for intercession, the Catholic doctrine of Holy Communion, that the Sacraments have something to do with salvation(instead of being just church ceremonies dealing with various stages in life), that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ and that Baptism takes away sin.
Rome an keep all these doctrines because no true Christian would join and turn a blind eye to such falsehoods
Any true Christian would obey scripture and come oput from among them..

If they do this to their own what are they up to with the rest of us?
If we knew we were being watched would we modify our behaviour?
But we are watched every moment of our life by our Almighty and all seeing God, but do we calling ourselves Christians live in the reality of this truth?
Wisdom would cause us to talk and walk circumspectly when we know we are being observed, but do we live like Christians when only God is watching us?

Because support of abortion, homosexuality, homosexual marriage and artificial birth control should be only areas where excommunication results. Disagreeing with other Catholic teachings should not result in excommunication.
So the logic of this statement is murder, incest, bestiality, idolatry,
false doctrine, stealing, giving a false witness etc. are all ok according to John Y in the Roman Catholic church. Sounds about right.

Does she have either faith or good works?
Because if good works did (and they don't) contribute to our salvation they would have to pass at least three requirements.
1 Are they good works acceptable to God?
Are they the right ones.
2 Are they preformed to standard acceptable to God?
They would have to be perfect in keeping with Gods own perfections.
3 Have we done enough good works?
Just how few would be acceptable to God or how many do we have to preform to make a satisfactory contribution to our salvation?
Because in my Bible it says;
Psl 39:5 verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity
Isa 64:6 all our righteousness are but filthy rags;
If good works are a contributing factor I confess I am eternally lost.
I can only cling to my faithful and all sufficient saviour Jesus Christ and if that not enough I am the most miserable of sinners.
A bit like Mrs Clinton.

This campaign as been the most hatful and vitriolic campaign I have ever known.
The tragedy is this will impact upon all western nations not just the USA.
Both these candidates have done us a service though in that they have brought so called democracy into disrepute.
May be believers will now turn back to trusting in Christ over and against their man invented political parties.
Psl 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
:9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Sadly for the USA and the world neither of these two people are reliable or fit to be the commander in chief of the USA.
If Clinton wins she will prove to be a great disappointment for Jim.
Her Presidency will be a one term lame duck Presidency full of scandal.

If Trump wins he will be a great disappointment to John Y a lame duck one term President racked with scandal.
the USA and the world needs a leader but we are going to get nothing but scandal and probably conflict with the USA and the world with either of these two people.

But rejoice Jesus Christ is still ruling over the nations and His return is fast approaching.

Interesting terms used for churches John in Northern Ireland Catholics go to chapel protestants go to church.
In the North of England know body uses the term chapel any more, manly used by Methodists in the past.
Also many buildings once used by Christians have become Mosques or carpet warehouses.
Just about what most CofE churches are fit for today.
