SteveR wrote: The Gospel is a very simple message. Its not complex, just hidden from the wicked. John Y gets it, and you don't (pity) 1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; Actually I fully understand the doctrine of justification by faith alone. But the church he will not leave does not believe the gospel it adds mans good works and anathematise all who don't hold to that teaching. Also we are to grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and saviour 2Pet 3:18. something he cannot do under false teaching and idolatrous worship. |

SteveR wrote: John Y didn't violate any rules of conduct, just out debated the wicked (again) Thanks for the laugh SteveR. Out debated the wicked; John Y like all good Roman Catholics does not engaged in any debate but using simplistic statements ignores all scripture quoted and provides no real Biblical proof of any position he takes. he just accuses all who disagree with him possessed of Satan. If this passes for debate in the church of Rome there is no hope for him. |

John Yurich USA wrote: It is not required for salvation to leave the Catholic Church and unite with any other church as the Bible nowhere states that church attendance in any church including an Evangelical Protestant Church is required for salvation. The only requirement for salvation is to trust entirely in Jesus alone for salvation. Not according to Christ himself Matt 7:21-23 people will profess faith in Christ on the day of judgment and be found wanting. obedience to Gods word is what is required. Or is Christ wrong and John Y correct. Your shallow easy believism which allows you to stay in an idoltrus cult; but scripture clearly teaches we are to separate and not tolerate false doctrine and practice. Rom 16:17 2Thess 3:6 :14 Titus 3:10 2John :10. The last one goes on to say that those who show approval by bidding them God speed is a partaker of their evil. By staying in the Catholic Church you show approval of their evil and idoltrus religion. |

John Yurich USA wrote: That is not what I meant and you know it. The other Catholic doctrines I meant that is ok to disagree with and should not result in excommunication are that the Mass is a sacrifice, Purgatory, praying to the Virgin Mary and the Saints for intercession, the Catholic doctrine of Holy Communion, that the Sacraments have something to do with salvation(instead of being just church ceremonies dealing with various stages in life), that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ and that Baptism takes away sin. Rome an keep all these doctrines because no true Christian would join and turn a blind eye to such falsehoods Any true Christian would obey scripture and come oput from among them.. |

John Yurich USA wrote: Because support of abortion, homosexuality, homosexual marriage and artificial birth control should be only areas where excommunication results. Disagreeing with other Catholic teachings should not result in excommunication. So the logic of this statement is murder, incest, bestiality, idolatry, false doctrine, stealing, giving a false witness etc. are all ok according to John Y in the Roman Catholic church. Sounds about right. |
