Besides being a black man, Keyes is a true conservative and a decent man. I would have chosen him over McCain, Clinton and Obama without a second thought. I've read some of your stuff Rev Slattery...the word bigot comes to mind. I am a white Southerner and Catholic. One day I hope you develop a personality.

Who are these Catholic traitors (besides Hanssen)? For your consideration...any man who could lie to his Govt, his employer, his wife, his fellow Americans, and his priest, and put every man, woman, and child in these United States in danger, is definitely NOT a good Catholic regardless of any other opinion.

What people are truly righteous? What people are of light and not also of some darkness? Catholic's are not infidels, they are Christians who happen to see God's word differently from you...just like other Prots disagree with you. But, I am beginning to think that you have a point. We should separate from you.

If what you say is true, then what right did the Reformers have to declare themselves separate and and independent from their Mother Religion?

I see that you coulda married Cleopatra...you're the King of Denial. Letting foreigners run for President is a bad idea...Obama is as close as we get. Having the US split from the Mother Country is probably one reason that the US could save Britain from the Nazi's.

Look at what happened to England when they let a foreigner become King? You lost the Colonies and you got stuck with the Winsors.

Not allowing a British Prince or Princess to marry the person of his or her choosing because of their religion isn't about justice, equality and discrimination? England has certainly fallen on hard times...perhaps you would have faired better as papists?

Oh goody! Just what the Republic of Ireland needs...another visit from Oliver Cromwell...only this guy wants their souls and not just their blood. May he have the true luck of the Irish (which is no luck at all).

Its about time that Britain put aside its trepidation of the papist 'Hob-Gobbin' and embraced justice for all its citizens. If one Catholic can bring down the relm, then it wasn't much of a relm to begin with...was it?

The article CCC 841 says that the Moslims "profess to hold the faith of Abraham". Which puts them in the same boat as you, since we as Catholics can only assume that you all really do 'hold to the faith of Abraham'. Unlike most Fundi's we are unable to read men's minds, a god-like power we don't possess, in order to assertain their intent better than they themselves. If we were to follow your logic, then we would be verifying the lie that there is another god beside the one true God, namely Allah. But, this is not the case, there is only one God and Moslims like Protestants, worship the one God. Like you however, they have an imperfect understanding of him, which we will gladly remedy by spreading the true Gospel to all those in darkness.

EA: "...these RCC people call their 'god' holy father, I see idolatry and blasphemy..."
GG: This is wishful thinking on your part. There are only 3 persons in one God and BeneXVI isn't him. No doubt you see I and B everywhere you look.

EA: "They kiss his ring {idolatry}".
GG: I kiss my wife...no idolatry here!

EA: "call no man your father upon the earth".

GG: Even St Paul said, "...you only have one father. It was I who begot you in Christ Jesus" [1Cor 4:14-15].

EA:"...encouraging idol worship, ordaining and defending homosexual priests, disregarding church discipline, and completely ignoring the authority of God's word".

GG: Only a person ignorant of Catholic practice could be so full of half-baked, error filled, hog-wash. The Church does not allow worship of inanimate objects such as statues. The Eucharist is Christ himself according to his own words. Have you been in a coma for the last 5 years? The Church is struggling to eliminate active homosexuals in the priesthood. Have you eliminated them in your pastors and deacons? I don't call going to Church three times a week...discipline...maybe excessive compulsion. We love God's word so much that we put ALL OF IT (Deuts) in all of OUR BIBLES. At least we didn't drop it from our bibles because it proved us wrong.

KJV, NIV...whats the difference?. All of them are incomplete and found wanting. The Textus Receptus used part of the Latin Vulgate to fill in where Erasmus' sources were missing. Douay Rheims...now there is a real and complete (contains the Deuts) bible.

Peace in the world and justice for all it's people is in the best interest of the US. Less trouble in the world is less need to get involved. Poland's labor movement of the 1980's (Solidarity)and the part that JPII played in encouraging their confrontation of the former Soviet Union helped Reagan and Thatcher in bringing the USSR to its knees. The Vatican and the Democracies of the West come from the same Judeo-Christian culture and have similar goals...namely a peaceful world where people can pursue their lives without oppression.

1-the Catholic Church, both in the United States and worldwide, has an impressive record of peacemaking initiatives and accomplishments.

2-Vatican pronouncements have given more attention in recent years to non-violence and downplayed just-war analysis.

3-Pope John Paul II has played an unprecedented role in promoting peace and justice in countries like Lebanon, Poland, and Haiti. Individual bishops like Bishop Samuel Ruiz in Mexico, Bishop Belo in East Timor, Archbishop Monswengo in Congo, and Patriarch Michel Sabbah in Jerusalem have all played significant roles in their countries in promoting peace with justice.

Throughout history, biblical "Experts" have assured us that Napolean, Kaiser Wilhelm, Hitler, Bill Clinton, Henry Kissenger, Sadam Hussein and Mick Jaeger were the "AntiChrist". Boy am I glad you guys understand the bible so well...personally I've always thought it was Snidley Whiplash. When any head of State visits New York the city is required to guarantee that person's safty. Remember how Dallas was pillored for the death of JFK? If New York can't handle its important position in the scheme of things they should decline his visit. Another point that you "Know Nothings" haven't considered is the help that the Pope is able to give the US in diplomacy...what head of any Prot denomination can say that?
