The article CCC 841 says that the Moslims "profess to hold the faith of Abraham". Which puts them in the same boat as you, since we as Catholics can only assume that you all really do 'hold to the faith of Abraham'. Unlike most Fundi's we are unable to read men's minds, a god-like power we don't possess, in order to assertain their intent better than they themselves. If we were to follow your logic, then we would be verifying the lie that there is another god beside the one true God, namely Allah. But, this is not the case, there is only one God and Moslims like Protestants, worship the one God. Like you however, they have an imperfect understanding of him, which we will gladly remedy by spreading the true Gospel to all those in darkness. |

EA: "...these RCC people call their 'god' holy father, I see idolatry and blasphemy..." GG: This is wishful thinking on your part. There are only 3 persons in one God and BeneXVI isn't him. No doubt you see I and B everywhere you look.EA: "They kiss his ring {idolatry}". GG: I kiss my wife...no idolatry here! EA: "call no man your father upon the earth". GG: Even St Paul said, "...you only have one father. It was I who begot you in Christ Jesus" [1Cor 4:14-15]. EA:"...encouraging idol worship, ordaining and defending homosexual priests, disregarding church discipline, and completely ignoring the authority of God's word". GG: Only a person ignorant of Catholic practice could be so full of half-baked, error filled, hog-wash. The Church does not allow worship of inanimate objects such as statues. The Eucharist is Christ himself according to his own words. Have you been in a coma for the last 5 years? The Church is struggling to eliminate active homosexuals in the priesthood. Have you eliminated them in your pastors and deacons? I don't call going to Church three times a week...discipline...maybe excessive compulsion. We love God's word so much that we put ALL OF IT (Deuts) in all of OUR BIBLES. At least we didn't drop it from our bibles because it proved us wrong. |

1-the Catholic Church, both in the United States and worldwide, has an impressive record of peacemaking initiatives and accomplishments. 2-Vatican pronouncements have given more attention in recent years to non-violence and downplayed just-war analysis. 3-Pope John Paul II has played an unprecedented role in promoting peace and justice in countries like Lebanon, Poland, and Haiti. Individual bishops like Bishop Samuel Ruiz in Mexico, Bishop Belo in East Timor, Archbishop Monswengo in Congo, and Patriarch Michel Sabbah in Jerusalem have all played significant roles in their countries in promoting peace with justice.
