The "Christians" the DNC are showcasing are the emergent christian left. You can read about it at Lighthouse Trails Research. Here's some interesting notes: Don Miller, author of Blue Like Jazz, gave the closing prayer at the convention on Monday. His prayer can be found at donmillerswords.com. Go to that site and check out the header! It shows a wolf behind his head shot. Obama has Brian McLaren as an informal advisor. CNNPolitics.com has that article, titled "Obama works to mobilize 'christian left'".It's a July 2 article. That, people, is the christianity they are seeking for votes.

Ps. 119:99-100 Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your decrees. I am even wiser than my elders, for I have kept your commands. The Christian students who steadfastly cling to the truth of God's Word need not be ashamed.

HaHa! Oh my, the teacher, while giving the Mickey Mouse example, totally ignores that Walt Disney is the creator of the mouse cartoon. It reminded me of the scientist who created the primordial soup to prove how life began. The soup proved unfit for life to develop from it. Perhaps if they would've waited another billion years? In Darwinism only the fittest survive, so that alone discounts evolution because mutations cannot survive. Mr. Campbell says that if you see something you don't understand you have to ask "why" or "how". Evolution cannot answer the "why". And the "how" is still a theory in the theory of evolution. He wrongly believes that evolution is the answer to those questions and the Bible's account of there being a Creator is not. At the heart of his desire to teach evolution is that he is a sinner who must answer to the Judge of the Universe for his sins and he doesn't like that. He doesn't understand that truth will remain truth even if no one believes it. Truth needs no one to believe it to remain truth. He doesn't ask the "why" or the "how" of creation by the Creator.

I haven't read the article. I just wanted to make a correction concerning the title. It should read: Science education devolving to counter Christian faith.

Jeremiah 23:14 sure fits for every false prophet who speaks by their own spirit and deceive by saying, "Thus sayeth the Lord". When will he be back on stage? When the money runs out. The false prophetess, Patricia King, is probably laying awake at night trying to figure out how to reimage ol' Todd. She's probably kicking herself for her failed counsel to him already. TBN will be at the ready to bring Bentley up out of the ash heap. He may marry this staffer and, bingo!, he's back in the good graces of his undiscerning fans. O.K., I am being fecetious. I do pray he comes to repentance and true salvation and has the courage to publically confess his evil deeds. With God it is not hopeless else I'd be in a heap of trouble.

Thanks for the link, Engineer. Between your comments and the ones with that article, my gut is hurting from laughing so hard. No, not Imam Oprah, but Guru Oprah.

Engineer, ROTFLOL!! Oprah as V.P. That's a good one! I think she's gonna be his spiritual advisor, tho. And party planner so no one gains weight at the socials. (boy, does Obama owe her big time, that is, if elected!)

"If there's no godly man, don't vote." Have I been on a false guilt trip all of my Christian years? I have been told that as Christians we have an obligation to vote as stewards of our country. Thanks, Engineer, for your words of deliverance! Our first and foremost concern should be pleasing God in every way, including with our votes, or lack of, as this election year has no one we can, with good conscience vote for. Truth, I believe Pat Robertson and his "christian" disciples will relish Mitt Romney as V.P. choice for McCain. He is morally superior though not a true Christian. Obama bashers who follow Robertson won't complain but true Christians will. And those true Christians aren't exactly pleased or fooled by McCain, either. Though there are many of the moral majority who believe Republicans are God's choice, surely our history has also thought that of the Democrats. I think of the social reforms brought to us by Dems back when our country was more godly. The politicians felt it was the christian and charitable thing to do. I believe that this idea of which party is God's choice is as old as the USA is.

I did, Girl. It reminded me of Muhammed's wife who stroked his ego, too. We know how that ended up, don't we?

What you say is true, Convinced! May I add Matthew 18:21-22. The repentance part is between Wayne and God. God will grant the grace for his repentant walk if his heart is sincere. I will believe it is. How many times has God given us a fresh start upon repentance and forgiveness? None of this has been for ought. We have all learned from this experience and it has lead to a more Christ-like walk. Perhaps more than a few of us need to reread our posts, not just for spelling and wording, but to see if it sounds like something Jesus would have us say.

Yeah, I can praise his performance compared to Obama. Performance in the sense that he was a better actor! Obama didn't bother to memorize his lines. He stuttered and stumbled and went in circles saying nothing of substance. McCain's performance wasn't flawless but he knew what to say and how to say it with great timing. Like when he was asked when life begins, he was quick to say it is at conception. Both were disappointing from the start. When asked who were most influential in their lives, neither said Jesus. Oh well, I suppose if they had we would have thought them both bigger phonies than they are where Christianity is concerned. Thumbs up on McCain's performance. Thumb's down on the substance of both candidates.

Kenny, the false prophet is Tim Fleming and his prophecy is titled God's New Law. If you do a search on it you will find a free download of the prophecy. I read it about a year ago and it sickened me. It is put into a KJV. Target and Barnes and Noble sells it, too. Sorry, but I thought I had the heads up on this through SA! I thought you would already know about this. Didn't mean to be so vague in my post.

Good one, Dan. I don't think these cards will have scripture verses in them, though. But, then again, Wallmart sells a bible that has an extra book in it after Revelation that says Jesus forgives and loves the homosexual and they will be allowed entrance into God's Kingdom. Some guy wrote the "prphecy" when "Jesus" came to him.

Girl, that is a good clarification on those verses as they do tend to be contradictory. May God forgive me if i butchered scriptures, but that was what i thought on yesterday, though i had been taught that those verses were about different fools. Your two bobs' worth is a treasure! That's a cute saying- two bobs' worth.

lyn, Discernment taught me something yesterday. Answer a fool according to his folly lest he be wise in his own eyes. You know how we should do that here? Do not answer the fool in his foolishness lest you become like him. It only provokes the fool more in thinking he is right. No one with guile in his speech is able to obey 1 Cor.13 in his heart and with his conduct. Doing wrong is fun for a fool while wise conduct is a pleasure to the wise. I am sure if we went through the book of Proverbs to all the scriptures describing the fool we would think of same person in this thread. Discernment warned us early on in this thread to ignore him. We should have listened.

nadr fadl, we do and we will. What you suffer physically is felt in our hearts and lifted up to our Father in prayers. For when one brother in Christ suffers we all do. Be strong in the Lord, dear child of the Living God!

All I know is this: The pursuit of quick riches lead surely to poverty. No matter the eloquence of a sermon that makes playing the lottery O.K., this one scripture should scare the daylights out of us! Of the christians I have heard who won the big one, none of them are still rich. Some of them actually received a wealthy miserable life. And they wanted to do well with the money. As christians our hearts are very charitable and the limits we are blessed with by God's hand keeps us prudent with the stewardship of such earnings as He gives us. He knows, also, how much we need so that we do not turn our trust from Him to the riches.

lyn, your post gave me goose bumps ( or is it goose pimples in S. Il ). I am west of Chicago near the Wisconsin border. Hellooo down there, lyn! Yes, whenever we praise the Lord I am full of goose bumps! I happen to think we are in the greatest family on earth and for all eternity thanks be to Jesus who brought to our Father. So glad and so humbled that He drew me to His wonderful Son and desires me to be in His family! Everyone here at SA have blessed me, especially this thread. Can't wait to meet all of you. Come, Lord Jesus, come! May God grant us opportunities to share the the glorious Gospel for His Kingdom and glory.
