For those promoting Apple, they have many unethical practices too. Advertising no viruses... Rubbish. Second of all a lot of their stuff is made by Foxconn. Foxconn workers have been known to suicide due to working conditions. Apple have kept quiet about that. Apple also have a homosexual CEO and who knows what profits Apple make support.
The flip side is that most vendors use Foxconn parts so it's hard to avoid.
My point is that Apple's nose is far from clean ethically either.
That's very sad. Our church supports a missionary couple over there and they knew this man personally. We heard about it before the article was published.

Imho the homofacist rainbow flag and the evil behind it is far more important to rebel against than the Confederate Battle Flag
